Any way to force scans/scan at a more frequent rate?

I want to scan the AH at least every 30 minutes to an hour when I'm online if at all possible, is there any way to do this? Sometimes I see the data up to 5 hours old which doesn't help me at all with items that fluctuate often.

/reload in your sniping sessions and the data will be updated.

I don't understand what you mean, could you elaborate? I just want tooltips for my items to be updated which is what I thought the desktop app is for. I don't want to have to go to the AH and manually scan for it to update.

Restarting the desktop app doesn't update the auctionDB and I don't see anything to manually force the update. I log in and I see that it's been outdated for 6 hours because I logged in this morning. So is there any way to force the desktop app to update more often/when I want?

If you see that your tooltip shows your data is 6 hours old, a /reload will populate your game with the most recent pricing data that the desktop app received. There is no way to increase the frequency the app receives data.
