Hi, my name is Buggie but I’m better known as Karamoja, a NE BM hunter that calls the Stormrage realm home. I’ve been playing Warcraft since Burning Crusader but, like most players, really didn’t understand how to make gold. A few months ago, I saw some post in chat about a Twitch site regarding gold making and, being somewhat interested, I visited the site. Well, long story short, that Twitch site led me to TSM and TSM led me to The Consortium (way more informative than the Twitch site, btw).
I’ve really enjoyed browsing the site, especially the Spreadsheet section of the forums. Two particular spreadsheets, one created by Stede (MoP Ore-Shuffler) and one created by TheExile (Professions Kit v1.2.1), caught my eye and I have downloaded and played with both of them, to some extent. While I’m still learning the spreadsheet created by Stede, the one made by TheExile was the one that I used the most, well, right up until TUJ closed last month. If you used the Professions Kit spreadsheet, you know that in order to make it work, it required data to be imported using an XML file that one would download from TUJ. When TUJ closed last month, I started trying to “modify” my Profession Kit spreadsheet so that it would work with data that was obtained via WoWuction. In trying to make this work, I realized that if I could combine the two spreadsheets, I could use the best that both spreadsheets had to offer, in order to simplify the downloading and importing data process that the Professions Kit now needed, so I set out to create an “All in One” spreadsheet. After some trial and error, I’ve got the combined spreadsheet completed and wanted to share it here for anyone that wants to utilize it.
During this “combination” process, I’ve tried to keep the functionality of the two spreadsheets intact so that they operate as both Stede and TheExile had intended and have only modified these spreadsheets so that they will work together. Most, if not all the modifications, were done to the Professions Kit spreadsheet due to the fact that it needed to be modified to work with WoWuction data and also due to the fact that the MoP Ore-Shuffler is a macro-enable excel spreadsheet. I’ve also made updates, here and there, to ensure that the combined spreadsheet was up-to-date for the latest version of wow-professions (v5.4) for professional kit building purposes. For configuration and operation of the spreadsheet, I would recommend the following two links below:
Stede & Mithrildar's MoP Shuffling Spreadsheet
TheExile's MoP Profession Kit Spread Sheet
In closing this post, my thanks go out to both Stede and TheExile for their original work and also to all those that they mentioned during the design of their original spreadsheets. As they stated, this spreadsheet is a tool that can be used so that you can make informed decision regarding either the ore shuffle or profession kits process of making gold. Enjoy.
