    Profession/Crafting & auctioning tool/webapp

Greetings, I thought that I'd share this hobby project with you people, in case someone found it interesting. it is created for newer browsers and testet primarily in Chrome and Firefox. The application is created using Angular 2.

    The webapp in short:
    • Allows to filter recipes by demand etc (if TSM api key is given). The recipes are fetched from Wowhead.
    • Supports TSM api. The API data is only downloaded to the browser once per day.
    • Gives you a estimated crafting cost and allows for making a shopping list for when you aren't in-game
    • Allows you to see if you have been undercutted
    • Allows you to browse the auction house without being near it (in the browser)
    • Gives the user links to items, in case one wish to buy it without being in-game.
    • Stores the user settings on your computer and not externally (no user information is sent between user and server, other than realm and region.
    • Stores auctions locally, so that you can reload the window without downloading the auctions again if there are no new auction data available.
    • The sourcecode is freely available to anyone who wish to look at it or fork it.

    Webapp: http://wah.jonaskf.net/
    GitHub (source code): https://github.com/ukon1990/wow-auction-helper

Here are some sample snapshots from the app:
    - The crafting page with the shopping list (linking to blizzards online AH)

    - The my auctions page. If the row is highlighted, the users been undercutted.

    - This is what it looks like when you search for auctions. Click on the item name to show the right panel. If you wish to browse pets, simply select "Battlepets" in the item type dropdown.

    - Trade vendor page

Some fixes & changes since yesterday:
    • I have fixed a bug that calculated the wrong sum in my auctions (typo), and the shopping cart prices should update on page load.
    • The shopping cart materials are now linket to blizzards web AH so that we can easily buy the materials we need from work or wherever when they are cheap.
    • Added a dark and light theme option in the settings
    • Everything except recipes should now be stored locally to decrease page loading time
    • You can now also filter auctions to see if their buyout is less than x % of the market value (This could be rather nice paired with demand filtering)

Just a quick question. How does it get it's pricing data?

It says the highest priced item on my realm moonglade Eu is a feldrake but there hasn't been any up for like 3 weeks or even a year. It still says there is 1 up.

Did it appear as the highest priced item after you swapped the app from using another realm?

The application uses the blizzard API(dev.battle.net) for the price source of buyout and crafting cost calculation. It then takes the lowest priced item, and displays that as the "buyout" price in the column. I hope that answers your question. So that item being at 500k should be because someone actually posted it at that price.

I should probably add a line below showing the market price also, for cases where some place an item unrealistically high.

If this was caused by the app not updating the auction data when changing realm, then this should now be fixed.

I do wish to make some improvements to how the application handles multi realm users. As in storing characters and realms that are previously used or something.

I have now made it so that the app will use the market value instead of the current buyout for the profit estimate, if the buyout exceeds 200% of the market value. I intend to make this customization by the user. This obviously requires a TSM API key

I hope this solves the issue you had. This is something I had not considered a possibility, even tho it should be obvious that people can and will do this (price items way above market value)

Looking great, Keep up the good work!

I have a suggestion to add a feature in which you can choose which value you want to use. (dbmarket, dbhistorical, dbregionavg..).

Maybe also add a small line next to the crafting item how much there are on atm. It is handy to know which markets are easy to control before crafting the item.

For the buyout price, right? That's doable! I would assume it not to be relevant for the crafting materials.

I can understand that it would be practical, added

I also made it so that the search filters/queries now are persistent. So you can safely change between the tabs, without having to reapply search filters when coming back to the crafting or auctions page.
