Thread: What i will stockpile for MoP - Inflation! - Need inputs!

What i am aiming to stockpile for MoP, trying to prevent that inflation wont devalue my 600k gold. The objetive wont be necessary to gain gold, but to keep up with the inflation:

- Greater Nether Essence
- Greater Eternal Essence
- Greater Planar Essence
- Greater Cosmic Essence
- Not stockpiling Greater Celestial Essence (will devalue alot in MoP)

- Illusion Dust
- Arcane Dust
- Infinite Dust
- Hypnotic Dust (prices cant get lower IMHO)

- Netherweave Cloth
- Frostweave Cloth
- Embersilk Cloth

- Champion Seal´s pets
- Rare, 500-1000g range pets
- others pets (waiting on more MoP pet battle system for more info)

- Mithril ore
- Thorium Ore
- Fel Iron ore
- Adamantite ore
- Cobalt Ore
- Saronite Ore
- Titanium Ore
- Cataclysm ores

- Some Blackfallow ink
- Trading moste of Blacfallow for lower lvl inks

- BoA expensive enchants (all vanilla rare enchants, mongoose, fiery, crusader...)

- List to be updated. Thinking on more expensive, low risk items (TCG mounts/pets for example).

Any inputs guys?

I think it is to early to tell on what going to be important due to the fact some professtions are going to be revamped

I've been stockpiling mostly pets. I have three guild bank tabs nearly full of argent tourney, rare drop, and holiday pets. I figure at the very least they will hold their value, and if the pet battle system kicks off I will be able to bring in a solid profit, while fighting inflation.

Any Buring Crusade, WOTLK, ore, bar or herb under 20g a stack you will at least double your money, but there are so many gbanks you can fill

I'm currently stockpiling pets and hypnotic dust. If herbs ever get back to reasonable prices I'll stockpile the gamut of inks. However I'm not going to do more until after I get a peek at professions in the beta. Assuming no major changes I'll stockpile glyphs, inferno rubies, and various choke point mats that are often in both low supply and high demand for leveling such as cobalt. I'll probably stock a few stacks of the BoA agility enchants and maybe some Outlands cooking mats (need to research that one more) for all of the panda love that'll be out there.

You should definitely scout for TCG mounts on the cheaper end of the scale, like you mention at the end of your post. To figure out how much you should pay for a TCG mount, check wowtcgloot and browse trough the ebay prices for them there. Then compare the mount prices to the wow gold prices from pages who sell that and you'll end up with an estimate of what they are worth ingame. Also check TUJ for statistics and availability across the servers.

Keep in mind though, if you're from EU you must probably expect significantly higher AH prices on the mounts.
