    Give Points?

First question: Is the "Give points" a new feature on the forum, or have I just not noticed it before. (Incase you haven't seen it, you can click on someone's name and you have the option to send them points).

Second Question: Is there any time we should be using it besides perhaps giving them to someone who made a good post?

    Thanks.

It's been there for as long as I can remember. I have not used it, but I think a better way to show approval for a post is to give reputation.

I think it's been here ever since I registered. Might be a default feature of the forum software, or something. I can't think of any reason for using it, especially since the points system doesn't really DO anything. IE. giving someone points won't really change their experience when using the site or anything (other than boosting their ego, perhaps... )

I've never really used it before either - but did notice it a while ago.
