How do you guys get them? Buy them out? or some good DE trick?

Most people do the Ore shuffle and DE the level 85 rings/necklaces greens they make. Then you can combine dusts and essences into shards. Or you can just buy cheap dusts/essences and combine your own shards direclty. This is an enchanter ability, you can go both up and down the enchanting mat "food" chain this way.

For DE:ing these are most of the crafting options:

Ethereal Shards
Small Ethereal Shards

I only started looking into the enchanting scroll market yesterday and prices on my server were rather stupid:
[Spirit Dust] 2g
[Mysterious Essence] 50g
[Ethereal Shard] 130g
Enchanters have the ability to transform 5 [Spirit Dust] into 1 [Mysterious Essence] and again 5 [Mysterious Essence] into 1 [Ethereal Shard] which puts my crafting cost at 50g.

So, buy them directly if prices are low, otherwise buy dust and essences if they are low and transform them.

Because of the easy of converting mats, I think no one really needs enchanting materials. I have never seen the enchanting market this dead since I started playing in wrath.

That's why I stayed out of this market for so long, but demand is slowly rising now. It's nowhere as big as cata, but I did manage to get a couple of thousand in sales yesterday evening. Both enchanting scrolls and mats, mainly essences.

Enchanting market has been fine for me all xpac.
