    memory leak or not...

    Hello,

Not sure if you have noticed or this normal behaivor
I am using windows7 and this App and runs more less all the time in background(it should not mayby?)
I saw some intresting behaiov where there was memory leaks some sort, because i saw TSM using around 500-600mb ram. Its not a big issue for me as i have 8gb. THe question is more less, if the memory should go up at some point because most of the time it runs about 30-40mb...

I think i am using the latest version of TSM (downloaded off website).

If you look at the top of the app it'll say what version of the app you have installed.

to understand why your memory usage is high we need to understand how many servers you have enabled and also if you are using AuctionDB updater or Wowuction updater (or both)

the more servers you enable (and one or both of the updaters) the more ram is going to be used.

You also need to understand the way that memory management works in windows is that it may not actually be using all of that ram it says it is.
Windows will only free memory when it is required by another process (it will say that memory is still in use by the app that originally required it).

so in summary i am 99% sure there are no memory leaks and unless the app's (reported) high memory usage actually cause you issues with other programs you have running I wouldn't be concerned about it

    hi,

i have 2 servers enabled at this moment and only wowauction enabled. thats it. I dont use it for anything else.
All the rest features are in default.

I understand it should be so(and windows is, well windows), but still 200mb for this app is bit much, dont you think?

no i don't as 2 servers worth of Wowuction data loaded into memory , processed and then written to disk takes a lot of memory.
as a comparison according to task manager firefox (that i am using to post this now) is currently using 280MB and i suggest you re-read my other comment as just because task manager says its using 200mb doesn't mean it actually is...
