    import shopping list from excel

    Hi new poster, longtime lurker,

I was wondering if it's possible to create a shopping list in excel and import this in TSM? I know that there is a way to import/export from the addon itself, but is there a way to generate it from excel?

    Thanks for the response.

Sorry for the lack of detail, but I'm trying to quickly explain this from an iPod.

Yes, it can be done, and here's how I'd probably go about trying to do it.
    1. Start by importing TUJ data into a worksheet. I'm assuming wowuction data will work too, as long as it has item IDs.
    2. Open up a new worksheet.
    3. Type in all of the items you want in your shopping list into column A.
    4. In column B, use the vlookup function to find each item's ID from the TUJ page.
    5. Somewhere else on the page where you want your shopping list to be produced, have a cell combine the item IDs into the same format as shopping lists. I believe it would look something like this if you had 5 items.

    ="s1@"+B1+","+B2+","+B3+","+B4+","+B5+"$@"
    6. Highlight the cell and copy it. Make sure to copy the cell, not the formula inside it.
    7. Paste it into TSM.

Is there any reason why you would want to import from excel?

Valdron, awesome for replying thanks for that!

Reason for this is that I built my own tool in excel on the basis of TUJ data. Currently my tool helps me in (manually) selecting auctions which are interesting for flipping/arbitrating/investing; this is where my tool makes suggestions. I would like these suggestions to automatically be transformed in a shopping list, so that when i log in, I only have to import my suggested shopping list.

I am probably doing something that is already covered by (basic) functionality of TSM, however I am happy that I have a tool which I can also use when I'm @ work (no proxy can block my excel and the mobile armory app

Again thanks for the help, I will update tomorrow once I'm back behind my laptop @ work!

Cool, I used to do something similar, but I converted it into an auctionator shopping list.

    Good luck.

Just wanted to make a comment after looking at what I originally posted. All of those plus signs in the formula I provided should be & symbols. So it should look like this instead...

    ="s1@"&B1&","&B2&","&B3&","&B4&","&B5&"$@"
    Sorry! >_<

    Sorry! >_<

Not to necro, but still thanks goes out to you for this valdron. Together with a friend I have created automated deal lists for flipping/investing in Alliance & Horde markets and in xfaction trading, based on an extract from TUJ. Now only to create a string for aution group creating, but this looks to be a way more complex string to work into excel. Would anyone know the logic behind it and if the Auction groups can be created in excel?
