    RealmPop Enhancements?

I understand that Realmpop.com is a work in progress. It's certainly interesting. The breakdowns by PvE/PvP, RP/Normal, Region, Time Zone, Faction, Gender, Race, and Class are certainly things that have been attempted before, but not always conclusively. Of all of these, I would think that the Faction pie chart is the most useful so far. It can give a quick answer to "What is the faction balance on this server?"

Some other interesting possibilities could be:

by profession, by skill level/tier - That could answer what professions are underrepresented/overrepresented on this server or faction?

by population itself - how populated is this server compared to other servers?

by level - what is the distribution of characters' levels on this server?

by auction house - how many items does this server's auction houses have compared to other servers? What's the breakdown by product category?

These areas could potentially tell us where might be a good place to start an Inscriptionist character-- perhaps a server with low population, high raw materials on the AH, few Glyphs on the AH, and few Inscriptionists already there. Or maybe find where's a server with lots of low-level characters?

    Thanks for your consideration!

P.S. I didn't see a forum for RealmPop, but if there was somewhere else I should posted this, I'm sorry.

Pretty interesting to see the breakdwon of my realm. It's saddening to see how balanced it is with alliance and horde and diferrent classes. Really no niche market catering to a certain class.

*Side note, may wanna fix the site name in the first sentence. Was confused why i was being led to a site about music.

No problem if you wanna discuss Realm Pop here.

Realm Pop is pretty much a done project as far as I'm concerned. Maybe if Blizzard puts last modified times on each character's record in the guild roster, I might do some things to show just active characters, but I don't see that happening.

Can't get profession stats (or gear, achievements, progression..) because that's potentially a bunch more info to store, and it's not in the guild roster API. I'm limited to the guild roster API so I only do about 400,000 requests to the API every week instead of 25,000,000.

You can compare server populations in the list on the bottom of a region's page.

You can also use the slider bar on a region's page or on a realm's page to limit by level. It's kinda small, just under the pie charts, easy to miss.

I could do AH stats cross-realm on TUJ (and kinda do on the scatter plot on item pages) but I don't know how useful it'd be to dig into categories and stuff.
