Profit Margin and Table Sorting

I believe these two additional features would be enjoyable:

1) Column displaying difference between "mats" and "price" as either an absolute number or a percentage. Call me lazy but i want an algorithm to do my subtraction.

2) Like most wikipedia tables, it'd be nice to be able to sort tables by those columns with a numeric value, ascending or descending.

Is this something other people would use?

Lazy! One thing those tables don't need is another column of numbers. The price shows up in green if it's a profit.

That might be doable now that I've tried a javascript library that does that on Realm Pop, but it would add like 250kB to each page load. :/

This is something I have intuitively tried to do on more than one occasion.

Problem is, if you do it on the front end, you're introducing javascript into an otherwise (mostly) static page... and if you do it on the back end (have an arrow that redraws the page with your preference stated, for instance) then you're significantly increasing the traffic.

It's not a difficult change (compared to some of the other things that have been done already for the site) but it has ramifications beyond what most people consider.
