you can enter cheapest cost to buy 1 is under 1g 75s also if you want, but you could then see stacks that are not in multiples of 5. But it would allow you to get notifications for smaller quantities too. And you'll still get a notification if a stack of 20 is put up for 35g, which is 1.75g per ore.

I set up my notifications this way so that I can see basically any and all stack sizes that are posted to the AH where the price of 1, within that stack, is below my threshold. I can then choose whether I want to buy that stack or not. I do that for things like , , , etc.

The benefit of saying "cheapest cost of 20" instead of "cheapest cost of 1" is that if there's an outlier of someone trying to dump one or two items, and the rest of the market is above your threshold, they won't trigger the notification. Like, if I were fishing and I pulled up some ore. I don't have a miner so I don't participate in the market, and I want to get rid of those 2 ore quick.. so I may price them low. You wouldn't want to know about those 2, necessarily.

It's also worth saying that the algorithm ignores stack sizes in a way. If your threshold is "buy 20 under 35g" and the cheapest per-unit auctions are 6 stacks of 5 at 1g50s, that would trigger a notification. It'll add up the cheapest per-unit auctions until it hits your quantity, then see what the price per unit is, and multiply that by the quantity you want, then test it against your threshold.

Another example, again "buy 20 under 35g":

stack - auction price (per unit price)
    1 - 1g50s (1g50s)
    5 - 8g (1g60s)
    5 - 8g (1g60s)
    15 - 27g (1g80s)

To buy 20, it would count up the list, sorted by per-unit price, until it hit 20.. so it would end up with all 4 of these auctions which would be 26 quantity. Together, those 4 auctions cost 44g50s, or 1g71s15c per item (34g23s08c per 20), so this would trigger a notification.
