Questions
As an undergrad, I had a professor that taught me abstract algebra and number theory that liked to say, "Questions are more important than answers."
That may not seem especially intuitive, but if you think about it long enough, it makes sense. Most novel ideas and good tips are the result of asking the right questions. True, it's the answers we're after, but without a creative mind asking the questions, there will never be an answer.
