    Undercutting bid price

I use TSM groups to set buyout min and max prices, but can you do this for the bid price? It seems to me that you can only control the bid to be a percentage of the buyout, but I'd rather have the option to make the bid price undercut the lowest bid by other sellers. I'd also preferrably like to control the min and max for that bid price.

This affects me on high-priced items to the point where I've stopped using TSM to list them--the WoW armory app for iPhone and Android actually does this by default, when you list an item it undercuts the buyout by your preset amount as well as the bid by your preset amount. So for example if someone is listing a Swift Lovebird for 10K buyout with a 9K bid and my undercut amount is 1g, the WoW Armory app will try to post my item for 9999g buyout and 8999g bid. TSM, on the other hand, will post the bid relative to my own buyout price and not undercut other seller's bid prices. This means that if a buyer is willing to bid that 9K and hope he gets the item for 1K cheaper than the buyout, he's going to end up bidding on my competitor's auctions when I list with TSM because I have no way to undercut those bids that I've been able to find.

Does TSM give you the ability to undercut competitor's bid prices? It's possible I've overlooked it.

TSM as far as I know doesn't really deal with bid prices at all, and does not have this function (at least to my knowledge). Like you said the %age of the buyout is the only way I can see to control your bid price.

In the last days I'm completely getting owned by ah campers undercutting bids in addition to buyouts. I'm selling gems. It's simple: people who can't craft gems on their own or look for a crafter in guild/trade chat, are likely the ones who won't have a AH addon. So the first items they will see while searching in the AH are non the cheapest ones, but the ones with the lowest bids. This makes TSM a lot less useful, I'm really surprised to see no bid support in the Auctioning module. Isn't really there a way (or a private module/addition) that introduces a similar function?

There's not currently a way to have TSM undercut bids, no. It's really a much more complicated issue than you make it seem, and would not be very easy to implement when the majority of players probably wouldn't use it. If you want to do something productive to try and make it a reality instead of whine about it on the forums, there's a website to suggest features for TSM here: suggestions.tradeskillmaster.com

If your campers are using TSM, they are most likely using the Bid Percent settings: http://i.imgur.com/oGHSz1h.png. If you set your bid percent to 95%, and you were posting for 100g buyout, it'd list at a 95g bid. Do the math, figure out their bid percent, and make yours higher.

Thanks for the link. However, I wasn't whining about it, was just showing my surprise as I think TSM is one of the most complex suites in the WoW scenario. And I'm sure those camper are using a combination of TSM and Auctioneer/Auctionator, because I've set my bid to 80% of the buyout, and they undercut the bid by 1c (before, they was mostly posting with 1:1 ration between bid and buyout, I checked it).

EDIT: I posted the suggestion, if you like it vote it, cause I've read is a common issue when auctioning with TSM.
