    Limited play time

Hi I am not new to the game and have had no problem in the past making the gold I wanted or needed. I now have very little play time, like I am lucky if I can log on for an hour every couple of nights, sometimes only one night a week. Do you have any suggestions on how I can still make max gold in the little bit of time I have to play.

I realize I won't getting gold capped over night but, my old tactics don't work anymore.

    Thanks for any advice.

I would strongly advise you stay away from any market that involves time investment. These include any form of shuffle, any market that requires constant posting/re-listing like glyphs, and any market that requires frequent farming or crafting in general.

In your situation, I would stick to gold making that involves flipping or camping rare vendor recipes. A strategically placed alt or two can let you reap the benefits of limited quantity or overlooked vendor items and simply mail them to an auction listing mule.

Flipping items, especially transmog items, can be extremely profitable, although a bit slower. But this method probably best suits your play style. Using an addon like TSM, you can set up a transmog vendor and spend about 10 minutes every 2 days listing auctions, which would reserve as much of your time as possible for other activities you would like to do such as questing, leveling, raiding, etc etc.

Also, keep an eye out for the materials for Embersilk Bags if you have a tailor. This is the one exception I would throw out as a quick and dirty profit maker. These are solid enough sellers and your server looks to potentially have a strong market for them.

My husband has a max level tailor so bags are always an option for me. Maybe I should worry about leveling to 90 first then worry about making gold again.

    Thanks both for you suggestions.

The first thing comes to mind is the remote auction house is free.
Go checkout theunderminejournal.com buy low and sell high
Do you have any other professions other than tailor?
Oh and tell your husband he is a lucky man, my girlfriend last night is jealous, I can sit in bed and farm ore/herbs/dark soil patches for tillers/ for 8 hours yesterday.
I was happy , I was not in a bad mood, I just sat in bed and played. No compliants.
My girlfriend could not be more upset that I play wow.

Snatch list rare items is a very low maintenance market. It will take time to build up patterns, but the RAH helps immensely with that.

My professions are not maxed but I have inscription and engineering that are close to it and of course herb and mining. My husband has max tailor, BS, alchy and inscription, all of which I can use as I want.

I have used the RAH on my phone but I just can't seem to find a good way to search, I am so used to my addons in game. Undermine journal is blocked for me at work, surprisingly enough I can still get on here he he, my phone is my only access to most sites to look stuff up.

I just wanted to add, you all are so nice and I appreciate all the advice, most boards I've posted in the past I either get ignored or flamed. Thanks again.

You're right - your first priority should be to get to 90...and learning how to put together a good Snatch List for your AH adventures

If you are willing to take a long-range approach, I'd suggest taking Zerohour's advice above and start working up the reputations he lists.

I know your time is limited, so I hate to say this, but since your husband has Inscription, you may want to drop it for another profession. Inscription is already sort of a time sink profession and probably not ideal for you...but either way, there's no reason to have two scribes UNLESS you want to make Darkmoon Faire cards using both scribes. But that takes a LOT of herbs and tedious milling time, which is why I am making my painful suggestion to switch professions.

Enchanting wouldn't be a bad idea - you can scan the AH for inexpensive items to DE and sell the mats.

Anyway, I'd say get to 90 first, then start with the easiest reps - Tillers to revered, and Klaxxi to Honored (you should be able to hit Honored with Klaxxi just by completing the quests in that zone as you level).

In the meantime, grab cheap mats off the AH and make/sell bags. Good luck to you, and don't be afraid to come back here to ask more questions or just get some support.

Set up an account at wowuction.com and build a snatch list of rares there. They'll send you free email alerts when they find items below your threshold and you can buy them right there on your phone using the RAH. Takes like 30 seconds and everyone thinks you're just responding to a text.
