What to do with uncut rare Cata gems?

Very long-time lurker, finally decided to register lol. I have a huge stockpile of elementium ore, uncut uncommon and rare gems. I was wondering what I should do with them. Should I just vendor the rare gems and craft/DE with the uncommon ones? I'm at a loss for what to do.

Elementium ore -> bars -> sell for high profit. (Or shuffle if bored).
Uncut gems -> sell, price is high (at least on my realm).
Rare gems -> no idea :S

I was just going to prospect the Elementium Ore because the bars barely go for anything. Then make jewelry/DE, but then I would still be stuck with a lot of rares. The rares go for just a little above vendor price on AH.

Cut and vendor the rares that are left after you make as many [The Perforator] as you can.

Some gems are also useful for various PvP jewelry. Personally currently I'm saving up as many as I can for either A) the jewelry will go up in price or B) the price of shards will go up for those who are leveling enchanting or still making the Cata enchants which are quite good all the way to 90 for those who can't afford the better enchants.

Just chiming in here, I make Perforators as well with my Cata rares since they are nearly useless at this point (unless people are twinking Cata epics, and pretty sure the market for this is the same that's collecting vendor greys). Since I am still actively involved with the Cata shuffle I don't cut the rares unless I get an absolute overstock of them, I just save for the next batch of Perforator craft vendoring.

The better question is what to do with all those Zephyrites... I was saving them for JC dailies but they aren't really selling here.

I was thrilled to use a bunch of mine when I leveled JC on a second toon (cross faction, sent them via neutral AH) - finally a use for my zephyrite!!! Perhaps if you are like me and don't like to dump something you know can be useful, you could channel them into JC leveling kits to sell.

Cata rares have to be vendored at this point..I have so much elementium ore/pyrite ore still...prosecting-jewelery-dust is still profitable since its just ore sitting in my gbanks.
