Based on the ore reduction that came with 5.1, and threads like Shufflers - Suck up those cheap ores & gems, NOW!, I'd like to ask about your stockpile of shuffling input/output mats, and if you consider buying even more (if at low price):

I still have:

33'000 [Ghost Iron Ore] <-- still buying cross-faction where the ore is at ~30-35g (if available, @80-100g on my side)

1'300 [Roguestone] <-- still buying if < 5g/ea in order to craft perfects that I can sell between 200-300g
1'200 [Tiger Opal] <-- still buying if < 5g/ea in order to craft perfects that I can sell between 200-300g
1'500[Alexandrite] <-- still buying if < 5g/ea in order to craft perfects that I can sell between 200-300g
2'100 [Sunstone] <-- available at < 3g/ea, but not sure if I should buy them...
2'100 [Lapis Lazuli] <-- available at < 3g/ea, but not sure if I should buy them...
2'100 [Pandarian Garnet] <-- available at < 3g/ea, but not sure if I should buy them...

420 [Imperial Amethyst]
380 [Vermilion Onyx]
430 [Wild Jade]
550 [Sun's Radiance]
590 [River's Heart]
500 [Primordial Ruby]

1'700 [Serpent's Eye] <-- will definitely not BUY those ^^

1'500 [Spirit Dust]
250 [Mysterious Essence] <-- still have like 200 rings/necklaces do be disenchanted

I'm making a huge amount of gold buy selling cut gems (primal diamonds included), since many others are suffering from the lack of ore that has been on our faction for like 2-3 weeks now
Enchanting mats are moving quite slowly... the same applies for enchanting scrolls

With the prices of gems and everything related to the shuffle being extremely low income compared to cata, I just kept buying what I needed from my farmer.

I wont go into heavy stockpile mode until I see a rise in endproduct price not related to Wednesdays over the coming weeks.
Remember that we dont know how severe the impact will be cause so many players still have a HUGE stockpile to burn through first so it will take a few weeks until prices start adjusting imo. Half of an insane spawnrate can still be a fairly high spawnrate - enough to keep your server supplied with its needs. Therefore I wont go buying out stuff unless its below my really low threshold at which I cant resist.

Those are insanely low ore pices, and insanely high cut gem prices compared to my realm. Totally jealous. I have stopped shuffling because even though it is still profitable, it is nowhere near as much as it was, I'm still looking into different avenues. Ironpaw shuffle has also plummeted with 5.1. I have no stockpile since I ran out and refuse to by 60g a stack of GOI

No ore stockpiled at all (well, no MoP ore). With most gems sitting at vendor value, there wasn't much point to shuffling even before the prices went up. Cutting for perfects is a waste, as the jewelry is worth more sold to the vendor.

(Not whining too loudly, mind you. I'm making gold hand over fist on other markets, just not with gems.)

Im currently still doing a shuffle, selling raw uncut gems only (and maybe 5 of each piece of profitable jewelry and making more once they all sell. They are selling quite well at the moment, probably due to people leveling alts for the new reputation buff).

Got about 520stacks of ghost iron ore for 31g/stack. raw mats equalled to 43k. A nice 27k profit (Maybe about 24,000ish for selling cheap in bulk in trade). Selling them in trade during dinner time sells them fast, leave a few on Ah over night and wake up to a few k in mailbox.

It seems raw gem prices have risen (uncommon are 4-8g EACH gem) but ore is the same price, im buying it faster than i can prospect.

Ive got about 1000 of each uncommon and 10 stacks of each rare always in my gbank. not sure if i should stockpile this ore or take advantage of my current situation, the profits im getting are very nice, though the future is uncertain.

I'm making the most of out the shuffle with raw primordials, and scroll (from D/E'd JC greens) prices had skyrocketted for a bit, now slumping again.

It could be my server is different, or it could be I am doing it wrong, but what is the math for perfects? it seems to me if you can get three perfect gems that sell for, combined, 65g, then with 27*.85 you are slightly ahead of ten rings that cost ten settings and vendor for 89.78. So the BYO ring is probably not worth it unless there is a 55g perfect orange (currently tUJ shows 14 orange perfects that sell for >84g.) But the RPG neck would seem to have competition from perfects on my server.

It has been a long time since 415s made sense to d/e versus vendoring. If you need enchanting mats, leather & cloth both are usually cheaper ways to get enchanting mats.

I don't really have any ore stockpiled. I started buying once the nerf was announced because there was someone liquidating their supply, and that's about it. The ore shuffle really isn't profitable at all right now on WrA. My enchanting stockpile on the other hand is doing okay. have 200+ greens and a handful of blues to disenchant atm.

I have exactly two characters with guild banks and mining bags full of ore (whatever that totals out to be). The price over doubled overnight after widespread news of the nerf hit, and has settled back down to about 150% of the pre-nerf price. I'm not stockpiling anymore, but I don't pass up the opportunity to mine any nodes I see while running about on one of my miners.

As far as gems go, I cleaned out the AH of any gems that I even remotely thought I could profit on, cut or uncut, and continue to do so. I figure those are purely a waiting game with high risk, but time is something I have plenty of and the cost for that risk was acceptably low at around 20k so far. If all goes sour, I'm sure I can cut the gems into jewelry and DE them or transmute them into other things.

I did buy about 1000 [Serpent's Eye] for <2g each. Even if these don't go up in value, they're still useful to craft the i450 blue tanking neck for DE purposes (costs me less than 20 to make, shards sell for around 50).

Your stockpile is impressive, but playing the devil's advocate here - WHY?!?!

I have never understood stockpiles this large for CURRENT MARKET activity. In other words, why are you saving anything? Prices FALL over time, so this inventory is costing you. You and I probably "process" the same amount of ore/gems/Ench mats, and I do everything in my power to unload it all as quickly as humanly possible. Each day I wait to post something, is a small % drop in the value.

I guess my question is are you purposely "holding" onto product, or is it all just moving real slow? If you're holding it - WHY?
