Thread: AoE looting guide: World and instance farming.

**Thread Preproduction**

Eons ago, I posted a discussion and speculation thread about AoE looting and instance farming.
I wanted to gather some ideas and even grandfather in desired farmable instances at that time (before AoE looting) into one nifty guide for people to come to, look at, and try their hand at various instances for some AoE looting fun and income.

However, I have neglected the guide for quite a while.

Throughout stormspire, there are scattered various guides and videos to framing not only instances, but also world locations, especially for things like motes of harmony.

This guide isn't intended to take away glory or credit from people who have posted guides and videos about farming spots utilizing AoE looting, but rather to consolidate all the good info into one quick reference guide.

I will also be engaging in some self experimentation and coming back with my own recommendation of instances and places to farm with AoE looting.

It's no doubt AoE looting has made our questing and travels easier. But what about making gold?
Before AoE looting, many instances were not favorable as legit means for making gold. But much of that has changed.
Throughout Stormspire and other gold making blogs and communities, people have posted their 2 cents on making gold by utilizing AoE looting.
I present you with a consolidated list of great sources and guides to help you fully utilize AoE looting's potential.

I recommend that you bring along with the following supplies when farming:
A vendor, such as Traveling Tundra Mammoth, Jeeves, Argent Squire,
Quick regen items, such as Resin
Moll-E
Set your hearth to a nearby inn of your favorite farming spot, and bring your Cloak of Coordination to get back to Org/SW


Spirit of Harmony farming:
1) Kun'lai Summit Sprite cave. Credits- @Willifer for the thread. @Faid for the video.
Pros- The sprites have a pretty good respawn rate, and are easy to kill. This spot is also good for non 90s.
Cons- The cave is also utilized by a quest, meaning you may have people coming in to kill sprites.

2) VoFW Turtles. Credits- @siren for the thread.
Pros- This spot is amazing. The turtles have a very high respawn rate that depends on how quick you kill them. The faster the better.
The turtles also drop meat which can be turned in for Ironpaw Tokens.
Cons- This spot was recently nerfed. However, it's still very viable. It's also hard to get the full potential out of this spot solo. A friend or 2 is preferred to get full use of this spot.
I still recommend it none the less.

3) Dread Wastes Zan'Vess
4) Townlong Steppes Nizhau

Cloth farming:
1) Hellfire Ramparts Runecloth/Netherweave. Credits- @taro for the thread.
Pros- Amazing. Quick. Efficient. You can get several stacks of cloth within minutes. Also, by switching the difficulty from normal to heroic, you can get netherweave instead of runecloth.
Cons- It's an instance, so you will likely hit your instance limit within 20 minutes.

2) ICC 5 mans Frostweave
3) Embersilk

Love the idea, I'm wondering if there should be two threads - one for general spots good for aoe looting and a second for good SoH farming spots. I have considered consolidating the SoH farming spots into one thread myself, just haven't gotten around to it. There are many threads out there with good discussion on it, just gotta make sure when we consolidate we give appropriate credit to those who first shared the spots.

I was thinking of just dropping several guide links in the OP under appropriate subsections.
Then tacking on general pros and cons, as well as an @ tag to the original poster.

IE:

That would work great. For SoH spots, here's what I've got on my list:

1) The sprite cave presented here (doable by any class at 85 with the right setup)
2) The turtles in VoFW (still good even post-nerf) - sorry can't find the start of this one
3) Zan'Vess in Dread Wastes - again, not sure of the original start of this one
4) The water elementals with that quest in Jade Forest discussed here, though that may not be where the idea originated (your s.o.l. if you already completed the quest)
5) The various spots on the wall at the west end of VoEB (tough for even some classes at 90) - a few threads with similar, but slightly different spots
