I've done pretty much everything there is to do in the beta, so fire away.
@Dhune ...
Sadly, I haven't gotten a beta key yet (may not get one at all, but oh well).
I've heard and read various bits of info from many sources, but figured I can ask you as well...
1. Have they improved on the AH UI? I heard and read it was a bit clunky to use and not easy to search. This could be both good and bad for D3 players... Good for those of us wanting to make gold, because it could cause other players to list things incorrectly and at cheap prices. That can mean good profits to be hadBut also Bad in the sense that it could cause less players to want to list items and just sell in trade chat more, which will just drown the chat channels in endless "WTS" spam (chances are though, that spam will happen regardless).
2. Have you tried a Monk? That's the character I'm thinking of playing and just wondering how the game play is as one. Their abilities sound pretty cool and they seem to be quite versatile.
3. How far are you able to play in Beta? What dungeons have you experience and which seem to be decent for farming up the lower level stuff? I'm still torn on whether I will sell most of what I get initially and take advantage of the higher prices (granted, many others will likely do so as well, resulting in alot of undercutting, but at the same time, there will be a lot more players buying off the AH since the server population will be quite large) or if I will just keep it, use what I can and level up my professions. There are advantages both ways, but what are your thoughts on that, based on what you've seen in Beta?
4. I've heard the game controls are very much like Diablo 2, in that mouse clicking moves your character around, instead of being able to use A S D W for movement. Is this true?
Those are the main things I can think of for now. May have more later.
Thanks!

1. I've only witnessed the current iteration of the AH so I can't compare it to previous versions. I do find it very clunky. I suspect you'll be spending more time performing searches than you would in WoW.
2. Yeah. I've played every class and they're all fun. Personally I'm going to play whatever's underrepresented so I can take advantage of better gear prices.
3. The level cap is 13, but the content really only goes until level 7 or 8. You find tristram, enter the cathedral, rescue Cain, run to the crypt to find King Leoric's crown, return to the cathedral and descend to King Leoric's floor, place the crown on his head and kick his ass. I think the most profitable course of action will be to max out your blacksmith, acquire some decent armor/weapon plans, then pump them out on the AH. I'll likely be investing my resources into that route (i.e. salvaging my magic items rather than selling).
4. Yup it's the same. Left click and right click are keybinds, as well as 1-5.
Yea, I was kind of thinking along the same lines of leveling up my professions and get to crafting the better stuff. I can sell the salvage mats later. And while items will be priced higher on the AH in the beginning, I probably won't bother trying to sell much of my stuff or play the AH until things calm down a little. Prices are too volatile at the start to get any sort of idea and reading on how stuff will sell at various price points. I'm sure there will be plenty of gold to make after the game has been out a little bit. I'd rather get leveled up and be able to kick butt with farming, plus then I will have more time to play the AH.
The clunky AH is what I figurd... could be a good thing though. Less people trying to scour the AH for great deals because of the clunky search capabilities. So there may be more profit to be had!
