Nov 25: A vendor for has been found! (FALSE ALARM)
Nov 25: is very common as well. Dump them now!
Nov 26: is now a quest reward, thanks duck, see this thread.
Nov 27: now drops from a random dungeon bag reward. Be cautious with these, not sure how common they will become.
Nov 29: is now a zone drop, expect prices to adjust. similar fate.
Nov 30: is no longer used for enchanting rods. Zones have been re-seeded for both ores and herbs - very easy to farm the old world now. , , , also zone drops.
Dec 1: now a zone drop from STV, beware.

The shattering is over and the air is thick with suspense.

I logged into WoW last night in hopes of finding conclusive evidence about certain items, notably , and I could not find the recipe off Dirge (or anyone in Gadgetzan, for that matter). Maybe I should check Tanaris for rare spawns.

Users have been reporting an unusually high number of at the auction house. It's being speculated that the recipe may now be sold by a vendor. Blizzard wouldn't do this, would they? I mean, it's not like they have a track record of doing these kind of things.

On a more serious note, I think the fate of the recipe is one of the following:
    • Nothing has changed. Tons of lowbies are being rolled and this is why we're seeing so many recipes. I ran a /who 5-25 last night at 4am and had 49 results.
    • The recipe now drops in the revamped southern barrens, at a higher rate than before.

Also, is now sold by vendors for 9s (thanks Theahwatcher) along with . Don't fall for the cheap AH prices! Instead, be the one to sell them off for 1g each.

    Still no sign of .

I'll keep updating this post with anything meaningful, stay tuned!

I mentioned in other threads as well, but I will mention here as well, Wowhead.com has reset their drop rates and has pretty high early drop rates.

Hmm, now that I have started checking, not all drop rates have been reset. The first dozen items I tried had been reset, then I started checking some of the Snatch list items and they had not.

The quest that gives Kaldorei Spider Kabobs in Dolanaar, which I was previously getting by making level 1 night elves, and mailing myself the required 8 spider legs, and then flipping for 400g, is no longer available.

I think they increased the drop rates on items other than the savory delight recipe. While messing around in the barrens, I have gotten the recipe for savory delight, elixir of giant growth, and one other rare one I can't think of at the moment...

I never thought the deepdive helmet was going away. Just because something wasn't found in the beta didn't mean it was gone. Blizzard is not going to eliminate that many recipes. Also the dragonscale recipe sold there as well--that would leave alot of people without the full set.

Does anyone have any information on

Are they sold from a vendor now? Lots have appeared really cheap.

People are cashing in their Northern Spices. 2 years of collecting these things, what can you say.

I beg to differ, Blizzard is known to make very strange moves (either accidentally, or intentionally). I'm sure you've heard that cooking is currently nearly impossible to max out as horde?

Besides, the vendor recipes cost a few silver, this is a no risk investment.

Horde-side wool seems drastically increased. Over 4 pages of auctions, which is about 100% more than the usual high.

I suspect that is from people hitting old zones. I got 4 stacks of wool last night from random questing.

Hmmm - maybe. They were about 40g for a stack of 100 for quite some time and they rose to 200g/stack over the last month. I've made quite a bit out of it with very little competition - I assumed people had sold off all they had. Now they are down at 20g/stack and the competitors are back. Perhaps people saw that I was making a killing and the market reacted. It just seems strange that the market was almost devoid of competitors for a month and now it's full again. But then the AH is a strange beast....

It's very odd. It seems that very specific items have had humungous droprate increases while others are remaining relatively low.

Last night during my instance running I saw three... count that, three, from various sources. I have not seen any other BoE world drops though.

While questing in the barrens over 4 levels I've come across three each of Savory Deviate Delight and Elixir of Giant Growth recipes. Both of these were on my snatch list and today I discovered that both were below 1 gold in price on the AH.

I would strongly suggest holding off on buying any world or zone drop items until this is either confirmed as a bug or confirmed as final. Research anything you're interested in buying.

So disappointed in Blizzard for this one.. Taking a recipe that I'm making 1,000-3,000g on daily, and making it worthless? Now that's just cruel. Especially since I just bought 8 of them a few days ago. That's gold I'll probably never see again.

Regarding the i still have been able to flip them on alliance side. Took a chance last night and bought 2 at around 150g each, today they were sold for 700 on alli side. Guess since it's mostly horde questing in barrens that alliance won't be flooded as much as horde.

Ugh.. The horde was going for 150g ea a few days ago, and I thought I was getting a good deal (Such a good deal I decided to risk it and not check online first). SO.. I bought 8. About 1,300g worth of recipe, and tried to flip on Ally since the cheapest was 1,200g.. And now they're down to 400g/each. Ugh. Thanks Blizz!

Of course they were more expensive at one point. You realize there's a Dalaran Cooking Token that can net you 10 per, so what use are these tokens going to have moving forward? None. And people believe this. I did the cooking daily every so often on most every alt I have and have over 1000 tokens between them now. They weren't watching you, they just noticed a currency with almost no value sitting in their bags. They're worthless over here, too because there are thousands posted.

A month ago nobody cared, now they're cleaning out the junk. That's the fun thing about expansions is cleaning out the crap.

Oh, and @ Savory Deviate recipe - 2g per, about 5 up right now at that price, about 80 available. I'm a little sad because I bought 1 at 500g 2 weeks ago so I could have it on my main. Oh well.

Ive been flipping the savory recipe from horde to alliance and have been making some decent gold over the last week. I got a little worried when a bid price I put in for 200 gold x 3 for those 3 days ago filled and I won them cause I thought alliance would have caught on by now and I'd loose gold on those. Luckily they have been going for consistently for 400-1000 gold on ally since this whole thing started and I've unloaded about 10 now and only have one left up on the ah. In the horde ah they have been selling for 30 - 100 gold.

I think it may be time to move to other markets though because its starting to feel like musical chairs and I don't want to be left without a seat.. lol
