Thunder Bluff Vendor Supply Route - 1000g Profit

Ok, so this is going to end up being a lot like Sinshroud's Ironforge guide, just Horde friendly . Also, without any fancy videos - sorry. The 'ol Thunder Bluff vendor run was how I built up my initial capital when I transferred servers, so it's a really accessible for anyone looking to break into "the game".

I usually start and end around the bank/mailbox and highly recommend doing this on a character that can fly, but it can be done without it, it just takes significantly longer due to the layout of Thunder Bluff.

    1. Shadi Mistrunner
[Design: Opal Necklace of Impact] - Purchase for 75s, Sell for 50g.
[Blacksmith Hammer] - Purchase for 18c, Sell for 10g.
[Skinning Knife] - Purchase for 82c, Sell for 10g.

    2. Pakwa
note - buying 1 of each of the bags requires 62g, so if you are really low on capital, I'd skip this vendor and it will still net you about 900g.
    [Enchanter's Satchel] - Purchase for 14g, Sell for 30g.
[Gem Pouch] - Purchase for 12g, Sell for 30g.
[Heavy Toolbox] - Purchase for 14g, Sell for 30g.
[Mining Sack] - Purchase for 10g, Sell for 30g.
[Thick Hide Pack] - Purchase for 12g, Sell for 20g. (these ones are obviously in direct competition with netherweave bags, so profitability will depend on NW prices)

    3. Palehoof's Big Bag of Parts
[Schematic: Steam Tonk Controller] - Purchase for 80s, Sell for 50g.

    4. Kurm Stonehoof
[Coal] - Purchase for 5s, Sell for 2g. (might want to buy a stack or so per trip, selling 1 is pretty weird).
    [Jeweler's Kit] - Purchase for 8s, Sell for 10g.
[Mining Pick] - Purchase for 81c, Sell for 10g.

    5. Mertle Murkpen
    [Vanishing Powder](stack of 5) - Purchase for 40s, Sell for 5g.
[Virtuoso Inking Set] - Purchase for 7s50c, Sell for 10g.

    6. Mahu
[Pattern: Orange Martial Shirt] - Purchase for 30s, Sell for 50g.
[Pattern: Red Linen Bag] - Purchase for 2s, Sell for 50g.
[Pattern: Red Woolen Bag] - Purchase for 5s, Sell for 50g.
[Pattern: White Wedding Dress] - Purchase for 1g, Sell for 50g.
[Rune Thread] - Purchase for 50s, Sell for 5g. (again, I would consider buying 10 or 20 at a time)

    7. Nata Dawnstrider
[Formula: Enchant Boots - Minor Agility] - Purchase for 10s, Sell for 50g.
[Copper Rod] - Purchase for 1s24c, Sell for 10g.
[Formula: Enchant 2H Weapon - Lesser Intellect] - Purchase for 5s, Sell for 50g.
[Pattern: Enchanted Mageweave Pouch] - Purchase for 60s, Sell for 50g.
[Simple Wood] - Purchase for 38c, Sell for 2g. (both types of wood are worth buying in stacks of 10 or 20 as well)
[Star Wood] - Purchase for 45s, Sell for 5g.

    8. Nida Winterhoof
[Beautiful Wildflowers] - Purchase for 20s, Sell for 25g.
[Black Rose] - Purchase for 50s, Sell for 25g.
[Red Rose] - Purchase for 5s, Sell for 25g.
[Simple Wildflowers] - Purchase for 2s, Sell for 25g.

    9. Sewa Mistrunner
[Recipe: Brilliant Smallfish] - Purchase for 40c, Sell for 50g.
[Strong Fishing Pole] - Purchase for 9s2c, Sell for 5g.

    10. Halpa
[Prairie Dog Whistle] - Purchase for 50s, Sell for 30g.

    11. Naal Mistrunner
[Recipe: Bristle Whisker Catfish] - Purchase for 12s, Sell for 50g.
[Recipe: Longjaw Mud Snapper] - Purchase for 4s, Sell for 50g.
[Recipe: Sagefish Delight] - Purchase for 50s, Sell for 50g.
[Recipe: Smoked Sagefish] - Purchase for 5s, Sell for 50g.
    [Simple Flour](stack of 5) - Purchase for 25c, Sell for 5g.
    [Mild Spices](stack of 5) - Purchase for 10c, Sell for 5g.

    Total Cost - 69g 33s 70c (7g 33s 70c without bags)

    Total Profit - 994g 66s 30c

    Selling Tips
I like to throw all of my non-rare recipes into a TSM group with a threshold of 20g and a fallback of 50g. I usually use a 20 - 30g group for the bags, and a 5 - 10g group for the tradeskill tools (mining pick, skinning knife, etc.) Turnaround time for me is approx. 1 week of less, and this shouldn't take you any longer than 5 mins, especially if you fly. One quick reminder is that the inscription vendor is located inside the cave, even though that isn't really clear from the map.

Good Luck. Let me know if you have any additions or feedback about this route.

Do people actually buy things like the Blacksmith Hammer and Virtuoso Inking set for inflated prices on the AH when they are readily available at the trainer?

Do people buy milk and stuff during holidays? They absolutely do. Give it a shot.

Absolutely. I had purchased 2 hammers accidentally once, and posted the 2nd for 30g just for fun. Sold on the first try!

Hi there! I literally just signed up so I could thank you for this neat little guide! Thunder Bluff is my AH alt's home of choice so it slots nicely into my routine. I have always known that people sell basic things over the AH but I didn't know until I followed this quite how profitable it could be.

The only fault I have to pick out is that the [Schematic: Steam Tonk Controller] schematic is soulbound.
I have also been buying [Common Brown Shirt], [Common Gray Shirt] and [Common White Shirt] from Hewa who is situated on the lower part of the main rises. They cost 4s each and can be sold for at least 15g each in my experience (sometimes more).

I have been following this for around a month or two, I have no exact sales data but thought I would share some of my personal experiences. I have found that some trade tools sell alot better than others (I can shift two to three [Copper Rod] per day), some of the basic fish recipes can take a good time to shift but your basic reagents (e.g. [Vanishing Powder], [Refreshing Spring Water]) sell for especially healthy profits at a good pace and there is always someone looking for some flowers to make their character a bit prettier ^^

Please let me know if any of my comments are inappropriate and I will edit my post accordingly.

Thank you again for helping me raise my profits without going mad from building a full glyph stock from 0 in the bank.

@Trahiega - no, thanks for the feedback. It's too bad you had to catch the one mistake that would require me to completely re-do the entire diagram though . I think I'll just add a note next to it later when I have a quick sec to update the cost/profit values as well. Glad to hear this was helpful
