Dalaran Limited Supply Route - Under 5 Minutes = 700g cost and 1200g profit

Hey folks, this one has been long over due. I made it ages ago but just took me forever to get around to typing it all out and uploading to Youtube.

Anyways I hope you enjoy my latest Limited Supply Route - and I'm sure many of you also know of it already (at least then you know just how great it really is).

If you enjoy this guide I also have two more: Outlands Limited Supply Guide and Ironforge Limited Supply Guide

I thought I would include 2 screenshots of my alts MySales addon for the past 30 days, just for those who are still not convinced that Limited Supply and Vendor Sold items are AWESOME!

28k gold a month for passive income that barely takes much time to start up, costs next to nothing and is a post-and-forget-for-48-hours kind of market. Anyways...

I tried something slightly different this time, and decided to use some local South African band music for my videos (I think they sound pretty good - what do you think?). Their name is Prime Circle.

As usual, I have included a nice map describing where to go as well as links to all the NPCs so that you can find them on Wowhead's maps + items you can buy from them.

Somethings to keep in mind for the video and route:

    • Not all items listed below were available for me to buy in the video, and some might not be available to you either due to them not spawning at that current time.
    • My purchase prices might be a bit lower than yours depending on your reputation levels.
    • Yes the profit IS server dependent, and they do sell differently on different servers. Generally if there aren't any up, you should put the items up quite high because in reality 80-300g is next to nothing at level 85.
    • On a positive note, this is probably the most effective and profitable one out of my three Limited Supply Guides so far. These items seem to sell very very quickly (especially the pets and the 2 hats).

With the Frozen Orb seller practically next to the Dalaran Auctioneer it takes a moment to check the profit of converting Frozen Orbs to something else. I am not sitting near a computer with WoW right now so I can't check if this is typically profitable to do.

Why can't my server have high prices like yours, Sinshroud?

It can if you want it to be.
Most people when it comes to limit supply/vendor sold items on a large scale, don't really restock until they are really low on everything.

If they are doing the full Dalaran run and you decide to make a monopoly on say the [Violet Hat] they aren't going to go all the way to Dalaran (unless they are a mage/have the ring etc - but even still) unless they are running low on several items.

Meaning pick a few items out of that list and make the market your own.

Thx for this one. I've been selling the three pets for almost two months now on a regular basis. In the beginning i was the only one who sold them for almost 4 weeks, and i sold like 10 of them per week for 250g each. Unfortunately, some idiots came and undercut me by 100g ("omg! I can earn 100g by selling a NPC-Pet!! AWESOME! That would freakin double what i have in fluid gold!!!" -,-). Though, since i'm checking those three like 5 times a day, i guess the other ppl soon will get bored cause they don't sell any of them, and i still have my profit.

Tried the Glyph too, but that one didn't sell... gotta try the other items the next time i'm in Dalaran.

Oh, btw... a little hint: When you're in a guild with "Have group... will travel", then bark in trade some times if some1 wants to Dalaran. This way you could earn a 20g - 50g tip (at least on my server, especially on Holiday events!).

The glyphs are quite a hit and miss market. You just get lucky and sometimes are the only one up and people buy. Othertimes people are listing them almost below vendor price. Just set your threshold and keep throwing them up with TSM every 48 hours and they will eventually sell.

The Have Group Will Travel tip is quite nice, I'm in a level 25 guild so will actually keep that in mind every time I go to places like Dalaran, Shattrath, Darnassus and other out-of-the-way locations. +rep for the reminder.

Fortunately people don't seem to have the patience for selling the pets and the trips to Dalaran to restock, months on I'm still the only one selling all the Outland and Dalaran pets on my server. Think I'll give the hats and flowers a go too, thanks Sinshroud

The pet market seems to be slowing down on my server right now, I'll definitely have to try to grab my own corner of it and your guides will certainly help. Thanks for this, Sinshroud!

I leave my scribe parked in Dalaran for the ink trader+low lag combo (for anyone that will point out that I can trade in SW/ORG now). I have done a Dal run a few times - there were a few on your list that I had forgotten about/wasn't aware of, but as far as pricing goes, I have had success with similar margins as Sinshroud has suggested. I would say that most of this stuff would sell within a week for me.

Another option for travel is to set Hearth at Dal and use the SW/ORG cloaks to get back when you need to. I usually only need to get to Org once a day, or can plan my routine around that, so the lengthy cooldown might not be an issue for everyone.

Thanks for the guide. I'll add a few more stops to my circuit.

I haven't been there since 4.1 but I believe Dalaran (and Shat) has an Org portal now.
