Hi guys, I'm here to just give everyone a bit more information about this new Consortium Quality Guides Forum Section.
What it is:
It's basically a new addition to the forums that we have created in order to showcase some of the fantastic and detailed guides that are being produced by members of the community.
All guides about anything to do with World of Warcraft will be in this section if Sterling and I deem them appropriate. We are wanting to create a collection of well made quality guides that everyone can know that they can come here and always find something interesting and helpful to read. It's just a way of separating fully detailed and in-depth guides from guild tips and questions threads.
How does it work?
The idea behind this section is that, it will be closed to everyone in terms of thread creation, so you cannot make new threads in it, but you can still reply and interact within a thread as per usual.
If you have an original guide to post then you post it in the correct normal forum section (Gold Discussion or Off-topic). You can then alert Sterling or myself either via a PM or by reporting your thread if you feel that it qualifies for being moved into the guides section.
When a thread gets moved, you will see something called a Redirect left behind in its place, telling you that it has been moved and giving a link to its new location.
I look forward to seeing some more quality guide contributions from you all soon!
P.S. remember, if you post a nice guide on your blog you are welcome to repost it on the forums too. We will not be moving posts that are posted in the Bloggers Corner section, so you will need to physically repost it in a normal Gold Discussion or Off-Topic forum section.
