Thread: Transmogrification Boom in 5.2

Quite a lot of new green items have been added to WoW's item database for the 5.2 patch, while it's unknown at the time I'm writing this where they are going to be dropping they are mostly* classified as Bind on Equip items. With the very heavy troll influence of the next patch, and the fact they share models with ZG and ZA old models I have no doubt they're going to be popular so here they are:

There are also weapons available, remember there are new rules in regards to transmogrifying weapons in 5.2 which makes the system a lot more available and you'll probably see a nice boost in sales across the board. What are the new rules?

They are playing with the idea of letting you do different melee weapons. Like a hunter can mog a bow to a gun, they're debating losening the restrictions to let you mog a main hand to a one hand or an axe to a mace ect.

As part of the the transmogrification changes being implemented in Patch 5.2, almost every Main Hand weapon was converted to a One Hand weapon. You can see the list of the remaining Main Hand weapons here.

As far as the other previously mentioned changes go, almost every type has been implemented so far. Most two handed weapons that share animations can now be transmogrified with each other, as well as most one handed weapons with other one handed weapons. Keep in mind that this is the first build of Patch 5.2, and more changes could come in later builds.

• Daggers cannot be transmogrified into swords or vice versa.
• Polearms cannot be transmogrified into other two handed weapons.
• Fist Weapons cannot be transmogrified into other one handed weapons.

With these changes i would suppose that Sword of Wizardry won't be treated as a main hand either.
So what do you think it will be worth after this patch? I thought of buying one or two prepatch. You think it could go as high as Teebu's Blazing Longsword?

It won't go as high as Teebu's since it seems to drop more often. Also, with the recent pre-MoP raid changes, the supply may increase slightly as more people are running the level 70 raids.

However, I expect that the demand, thus price, will increase with the 5.2 changes. A great number of different classes are using 1h weapons; warrior/pala tanks, SMF warriors, frost DK's (?), some casters using maces / swords and I'm not sure about monks, rogues and shamans.

Keep in mind though that [Spellfire Longsword] will probably be changed as well.
