    MoP Inscription Trainer

This got my attention from today's MMO-Champion Post.

So does this mean you're going to have to do the first two bosses in temple to learn the new techniques? Has anyone tested this theory in the beta yet?

    New Loading Screen Tips

    • The Cooking trainers in Pandaria are located in the Halfhill Market in Valley of the Four Winds.
    • The Archaeology trainers in Pandaria are located in the Seat of Knowledge in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms.
    • The Inscription trainers in Pandaria are located in the library in the Temple of the Jade Serpent.

So what you are saying is for a raid two bosses or a random dungeon two bosses?
I always remember from wrath that only raiders got the best recipes, now I can't even level to 600 without raiding really?
Blizzard should be really careful what they do after reading about yesterday's disaster of D3 that people could hardly stay logged in.

*groan* this makes me completely wanna dump inscription. I am totally ok with lacking a few things from any profession due to my refusal to raid, but if it comes down to not even being able train without raiding, it's completely not worth it to me.

Isn't the temple of the Jade serpent both a dungeon and a part of the starting zone? In otherwords, I don't think the inscription trainer will actually be in the instance itself, but in the non-instanced version of the temple.

This is speculation on my part, but I don't see them re-visiting the situation with enchanting in Vanilla, where you had to go through a dungeon just to train to max level.

Only the dungeon came up in the search: http://mop.wowhead.com/zone=5956, but there also haven't been any new inscription trainers added, either: http://mop.wowhead.com/search?q=inscription+trainer

Will need to keep checking back there as the Beta gets updated...

All trainers now train all ranks**. So while the only Inscription trainers in Pandaria may be somewhat inaccessible, there's nothing to stop anyone training in Stormwind, Orgrimmar, Dalaran, etc.

There is a library in the dungeon - it's the south (right-side on entering) wing. As with many MoP dungeons, there are solo quest-lines through the instance space, but these only allow players to visit the pre-dungeon instance once, and the things seen there are normally different to regular dungeons.

There are various buildings outside the dungeon itself, notably on the lower south side. At least one of which contains an NPC with an inscription reference in their title (but like most NPCs, no new wares). Note that the database sites are missing many NPCs (and items) that can be seen in-game, so don't assume something isn't, just because it isn't on a database yet.

Having essential trainers in dungeons is not unprecedented - Enchanting used to require a visit to Uldaman just to level past 225 (I think). But that's a part of classic-era WoW I'd be very surprised to see return.

Added: ** A caveat on cooking: Only the trainers at Halfhill Market (Valley of the Four Winds) train cooking specializations, and only specialization dishes will take you to 600 cooking skill. There are no equivalent specializations for Inscription. But these are early days - there's nothing implemented (in-game) in Inscription yet, aside from the new rank.

if this was the case, why would they go to the effort of putting the inscription trainer potentially inside a 5 man dungeon? It quite possibly could be a vendor for Techniques?

whatever the case, only time will tell but I found that extremely interesting.. especially to have it on the "Hot Tip" loading screen

I have no idea what the Valley of Four Winds is like, but couldn't you just get summoned to the cooking trainer? Or is it like Twilight Highlands where the NPCs are phased until a quest chain is started?

@shmelty Keep in mind that this trainer currently only exists in one data-mined line of loading screen tip. What actually emerges in the game remains to be seen.

@Valdron Valley of Four Winds is the second zone you are likely to reach. Cooking is no longer a skill you can train up regardless of level. Level 80 to learn Zen Master rank, required to reach 530 skill required for specializations. Most of the specialization recipes then require level 85 to train. Finally there are work-in-progress dailies, likely to be level 90, which may or may not be required to level cooking. Some fish-biased explanation here - http://www.elsanglin.com/news/mop-co...lizations.html .
