    4.1 speculation a-go-go

Hello all, information is currently being stripped out of the new 4.1 PTR build so it's time to make wild guesses about what it all means for gold making. MMO-champion is obviously the place to see specifics (like leatherworking epics finally getting sockets) but the thing that really sticks out for me is that the new heroics are going to be dropping epic quality items. I wasn't around when epics started dropping from dungeons in Wrath, but this is going to have a massive impact on crystal prices, right? Do you think this'll make the related enchants more or less profitable? It opens them up for more people to buy the recipes, but at the same time I wouldn't necessarily expect the scroll price to drop as far as the mats cost will, at the same time as making them generally more affordable and attractive to those outside hardcore raiders.

Crystal prices dropping will open up the bracer enchants to a LOT of players. I think volume will easily outstrip the price drop.

    I haven't checked MMO-Champ but here's what I think will be in 4.1:
    - Chaos Orbs become BOE
    - New helms mean the new meta cuts will have demand spikes [I feel we're in a gearing lull right now with regard to head slots, as most people have their TB rep helms or heroic drop helms]
    - Pug raids will start to hit stride, so more gearing = more gems + enchants

I don't know if it will happen in 4.1, but I'm predicting some sort of easier means of travel to Northrend and/or Outland. I think Blizzard will try to open up the entire game world more to people leveling alts or novices. Or at the very least, they will increase the spawn rate for Northrend boats (Dark Portal isn't going anywhere).

If you have any s sitting around from last year's debacle, sell them now. I guarantee you that little bugger will drop in one or both of the new zones.

Also, new epic trinkets. If you're speculating on Darkmoon decks, start unloading them now.

The Razzashi Hatchling already is a world drop in STV, so it's not like the value is going to fluctuate much anyways.

The vial of the sands achievement may induce achievement whores to buy one, so that market may see a slight uptick.

It will be interesting to see what happens with epic gems. I don't think we'll see them in 4.1.
Retired - I blame Kathroman for everything.

    (that's a joke, eh)

If they show up before 4.2, I'll be very surprised. And I'm expecting nearly every other forum or blogger to start speculating that they are showing up in 4.1.

No! Don't mention epic gems. Now we'll be talking about them for weeks. I am sure they won't be out until at least 4.2, I'm hoping not until 4.3.

If they don't come in 4.1 - get ready for a bunch of casual stockpilers to panic and unload their ore.
