    Selling Sea Ponies

    Hey guys and gals,

Does anyone know if you are able to catch another once you have yours? I see people selling them but I don't want to cage mine if I can't get another. I also don't want to spend hours fishing if it's impossible as well... tried googling the answer and found nothing. Has anyone caught multiple of these?

No one knows? @Elen ? Any pet specialists or other fishing experts? I just won it on my warrior with my 3rd cast...now trying to get another one and no luck yet. I'm wondering if it only ever drops once per char, or if the first one is fast but subsequent ones just take much much longer.

Ya I saw that, but it doesn't mean she caught them on the same toon...could've been 2 different toons

That's true, though the way it's phrased suggests to me at least that they were caught on the same character. Are there any precedents that would make you think otherwise?

I'd say ask a GM for confirmation.

Sorry - missed this one. Sea Ponies certainly were possible to catch more than once on the same character, and since they are now cage-able and trade-able, I see no reason why that would have changed.

My understanding of the way the loot system works in MoP is that you will never be shown something you cannot use in any way. So (presumably) in MoP one will never catch a second Sea Turtle after learning the first, because the mount is BoP and effectively unique to your account once learned. Pets should be exempt from this, because they are not uniquely learnt.
