    Weighted Jack-o'-Lantern worth saving?

Ok so most of us have all heard about the initial "Omg guys, try putting your [Weighted Jack-o'-Lantern] on the AH! I'm making a fortune" ideas that have been floating around.

While yes from what I can tell some people have managed to make a tiny bit of profit from these, in most cases the tiny profit you make isn't worth the time putting them up or the listing deposit.

So I'm wondering, would it be worth saving (and possibly buying a few more stacks) to dust-collect in my bank for a few months and then BAM pull them out and start selling them in trade and on the AH for much more than they are currently selling for?
Come on who doesn't want to walk around with an ugly pumpkin head on Valentine's Day? :P

Good question. They are going for 20 silver on my server which, according to my auctioneer is quite a bit less than what they go for at other times of the year.

I had read that they sell well around Christmas time but I never tried to sell these so don't know the yearly market for them.

In years past these were never post-Halloween event sellers. You could get the random buyer that would pay a few gold for it but for the most part these buyers during the event were only trying to get the achievement done quickly.

I normally have a few stacks laying around throughout the year that I take to raids for screenshots. That and ogre suits.

Just wanted to revive this thread from the dust, to remind anyone that has any of these saved up that they should start advertising them and selling for a neat little profit

I've had a handful and have been occasionally checking the prices. It has not been worth it for me to save them.

It's like the holly and boxes that come from the winterfest. Last year I saved the , the and a bunch of that I got from a few toons. Waited several months and then sold them... All of those items sold easily enough, but none seemed to sell for much more than they sold for while they were available. This last year I was busy studying for an IT certification so I couldn't take part in the Winterfest activities this year.

Never tried selling the Jack-o'-Lanterns though...

The pets have been doing alright this year. I've been surprised at how many there are though. Prices slowly drop, I buy up a few at low enough prices, post high again. Before long, someone else is posting. Where are they getting them?!? Is it Christmas in July?! I've got dozens of every pet now. I continue to make money, but holy crap...

I was told all about how they are great money makers, so I saved about 10 stacks of them from last year, some to sell and some for myself. Here it is, July, and they still will not sell. The best I can sell is individuals, and it's not even worth the time to post. I lose more from the deposits on all of them that don't sell..

I think it really depends on your server. An RP server might sell a lot of these, but my crappy little PvE server with no imagination does not seem interested.

Same goes with the sole 40-stack of Juggling Torches I have sitting in my alt's bag. I managed to sell one stack during the Summer event, but the other still won't sell. I don't have the time to bark to sell them, otherwise I think I could, since the Achievement doesn't say you have to use them during the Event.
