    DMCs Remain Viable in 4.3

    Affliction Lock
    Destro Lock
    Demo Lock

    Was there ever any doubt?

    Not from me.

Not much other info available yet, I'll update the OP as I find it.

Not surprised. DMC:Volcano is insanely well itemized for its iLvl... Or however you choose to look at it, it'll remain pretty freakin' awesome.

I said this would be true early on in the expansion based on wotlk data and predicting significant production cost drops. Doubters gonna doubt

I have been insanely pleased to stick with my DMF card business, especially the last one which promises to bring record profits. Everyone thought they would be worthless so I was getting Inferno Ink for 35-50% of the price I had previously valued it at. I now have two guild tabs filled with completed cards (that I charged 3-500g each for the rep turn in to boot for another couple 10k's of profit lol).

DMC:V is 2nd BiS for fire mages as well. With all the movement required in DS fights I'd expect to see most mages going back to fire. I pulled my old card out of the bank when I switched back.

The prices have also stayed relatively stable since the last faire. As a plus, on my server many people dabbling in the dmc market are now out since many thought that 4.3 would kill the market, which caused:

    a) someone to dump about 2k infernos a couple of weeks ago for 6g each, which i bought as soon as i saw them and made them into cards and

    b) the supply for the cards even smaller, which means that the prices shouldn't drop due to undercutting wars and due to "i farmed it so it's free lol" people. As of now i've already sold a hurricane agi for 7k, a str hurricane for 6k and a tsunami for 8k. I'm holding back on earthquakes and volcanos till after the faire, since current prices are 2.5k and 5k on my server, and i know that it will go higher after the people that want fast sales are sold out.

Simulationcraft only has the trinket value for warlocks so I ran a Fire Mage and Boomkin through simulation if anyone is curious to see the value of DMC:V to these classes.

    Fire Mage:

    Boomkin:

If anyone's worried that there might be a difference in stat weights between simcraft and rawr I put in bis fire mage to compare.

Especially for a newer 85 getting two trinkets from Ultravixen, Spine of Deathwing, Heroic Balerioc, or Rag will take quite awhile.

I'm really surprised how awesome DMC:V is for warlocks. I played affli almost until the end of FL, and until the Ragnaros-trinket got buffed i loved DMC. Unfortunately i DE'ed it. Now i'm playing Demo and have the Moonwell Chalice + Raggi trinket. Well... not best choice, but i hope that Will of the Unbinding or Cunning of the Cruel drops asap.

Anyway - for ppl who reach 85 (especially twinks), those trinkets still are the most viable way to get equipped fast.

Just checked DPS for Demo-lock with my statweights and SimCraft

Will of Unbinding: 3042 DPS from procc + 0 from static stats
Moonwell Chalice: 1796 from Procc + 1301 from 340 int
    DMC:V 1789 from procc + 665 from static
Cunning of the Cruel: 1599 from procc + 1752 from static
Bottled Wishes: 1523 from procc + 862 from static (Haste reforged into mastery, if you have 1993 haste)
VPLC: 1113 from procc and 1553 from static

All normalmode trinkets without RandomRaidFinder, therefore

Cunning of the Cruel > Moonwell Chalice = Will of Unbinding (depends on the boss, with specific Burst-phase MWC > WoU) > Variable Pulse Lightning Capacitor > DMC:V > Bottled Wishes.

So at least for Demo-locks, it's time to get rid of DMC:V. It's no longer BiS. It's still very nice, especially for starters. But it's not that big anymore.
