I laughed when I saw the topic and the forum. I knew immediately what your thread was referring to. (Pardon my dangling preposition.)

    The good news/the bad news.

Good news - Stacking freaking cut gem! It's self-evident for those of you who cut them in bulk numbers.

Bad news - Its exactly the kind of game change that encourages a whole bunch of new people to enter the market and treat them like glyphs. I can already see some of your beady little eyes out there, contemplating phrases like "gem walls" and "deep-undercutting" (with emphasis on the "cut".)
Author of "T'was the Night Before Glyphmas" Yes...~I~ came up with the name "Glyphmas".

The similarities to the old glyph market are now striking. It's not a good thing, as far as I'm concerned.

I cam here to post a Hallelujah for this change. I saw this and broke down into laughter.

Very nice! Just had a rant this morning about the small size of jc bags compared to other profession bags, so that I have to spend a 'fortune' on big regular bags every time I decide to change my gemselling alt. And still run out of space ofc. Will save a great deal of time not having to run from bank to ah to refill bags every time, yay!!

When Whitewolf claims there is bad news, I take special notice and will prepare for battle. I sincerely hope that any new up-and-comers will quickly grow tired and then let us long-time sellers bask in the full glory of the 20-stacked gems.

Of all the PTR notes, that got me most excited (moreso than the T12 bonuses? you betcha!).

    What does T12 mean? ;-)

I don't agree that the stack change will open up the market to new sellers since I don't think bank space was an obstacle for people. I think it was a number of other things - cost (PERCEIVED cost of leveling JC), JC dailies (takes time, people are lazy), access to Ore for prospecting (TOO many people assume you must farm the Ore, or not get any - it never crosses their mind they can buy it).

I think those who want to be in JC now are already in it, and those who aren't in it, are just making excuses. It's one of the easiest professions to level, assuming you have the earlier vanilla/BC gems. Yet another reason my infamous JC Leveling Kits were so successful back in the Wrath days.

Just to touch on a related note here, as great (or evil depending on your viewpoint) this stackable cut gem business is, I am sure I saw the new 32 slot gem bags were colour specific. Anyone else think that Blizz give us things with one hand, then take something else away with the other?

[SOURCE] A thread on JMTC by the one and only (I assume) Zamboni. I think I read it before the "You're trolling" post was added.
