Crafting and selling Dust of Disappearance for profit

Ever since the most recent patch, is crafted with only one , and it gives three Dusts instead of one as it did earlier. This means that we easily can craft some [spell]92027[/spell] for profit, a great way to get all these tabs of Ink leftovers from the Darkmoon Cards I make.

    For example:
is worth just over 5 gold on my server, which would make one of these dusts worth about 1g 66s, which is a lot cheaper than the 12g (10g if exalted) that the vendor sells them for.

There's a lot of people on my server that tries to buy the Dusts from the vendor and then sells them, but I am easily able to put them out of business due to my low mat cost.

A minute or two of crafting and a short bark in trade about "Dust of Disapperance for under vendor price!" in trade later, and I had a lot of these sold already.

This is a great spot and a very unexpected one, not least due to it not being in the patch notes.

Flux at Power Word: Gold has been doing this for most of Cata and was still able to make profits. Now, it's even more ridiculous. I need to pay some scribes, though. My scribe can Mill, but he can't make ink/dust yet (he's only 65/66). Couple this change with the average price drop of Cinderbloom and it's win-win!

So, I'm looking for tips here. The AH is currently dead for this mat on my server. I'm not familiar with high volume markets (NW bags is the closest I've come). Does anyone familiar with cloth flipping have any recommendations?

I'm considering investing a fair amount of gold into a serious stockpile to supply my faction with their dust needs, but I'm worried I'll either a) run out of stock, or b) not have buyers.

I wouldn't say that buyers is a problem, just keep it as ink and you've got a lot of possibilities. And I'd say that this dust will last during the whole Cataclysm.

Quick note. Just make sure you can sell the dust for 1/3 what you can sell glyphs for, otherwise, it's a waste. On my server, I sell glyphs for approx. 6 times what I would be able to sell dust for, so it's not worth it for me.

It's very much the same for me, however I do find myself uncapable of processing all the Blackfathom Ink I end up with while making Darkmoon Cards, and I've found the dust to be a great ink sink for all that waste ink I've got lying around in my guild banks.

Is it not profitable to convert into ? It might not be for you, but, again check your prices - if your profit margin is close between the two, 1 darkmoon card will probably be easier to sell than 100 dust, no?

I can sell one of these dusts for about 8g with ease, which would make an Inferno Ink (Which is 10 normal inks, therefor 30 dusts) worth 240g. Now these are just fantasy numbers, there is no way that I'd be able to craft Dust from all my inks and succeed in selling them which a Dust value of 8g each, but I think that unless the dust goes down really low (We're talking like a gold each), converting the normal inks to Inferno ones won't be profitable.

on my server, 10 Blackfallow Ink are pretty close to the price of 1 Inferno Ink. So I usually convert my blackfallow to inferno, so I can make more darkmoon cards. I have to really be careful though... right now I believe it still is worthwhile to make DMC decks. But I've found that it's taking me close to 6 stacks of Whiptail/Twilight Jasmine per card, instead of 5 stacks like others have reported being the average. I think I have crappy RNG.
