    WoW Mini Gold Guides

So over the past few weeks (with what little free time I have), I wrote up 6 mini gold guides relating to niche markets that I hit up regularly for gold profiteering. Figured this was one way I could give back to the WoW Community and our great Consortium members.

They are 1-page long each, in order to make them short and sweet, easy reads and something you could print off if you so desired for future reference.

I have posted them all on Google Docs for anyone to view. And as I write more of them, I will post those as well.

So, here are the first 6 in my Drrwho's WoW Gold Machine series...

Do the Shuffle - Savage Leather Style

Don't BS this Blacksmithing Gold Mine

Dust those Crystals and Enjoy the Profit

Making Plans to visit the Brotherhood

Picking Shrooms - Profit from Sporregar Rep

    Profitable Booty from a Vendor

If you notice any errors with links in the guides (or any other errors), let me know.

Hope you find these mini guides useful.

These are some nice guides so far. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the series as they are released.

A little addition to your leather shiffle. Now after the patch you can turn in the leather for hides at any leatherworking supply vendor next to trainers in all the big cities. Makes it abit easier, and if heavy leather is cheap enough, even lvl1's can turn in for hides i believe. Nice little tips here.

Can this be added to the consortium quality guides, took me a while to find it today when searching.

I think it is worth clarifying that for the purposes of calculating the cost of materials in lw to get to the desired material it is 5*unit price*the number of leather tiers that material is from the desired one. So savage leather is one step removed and will be 5*unit price*1, savage leather scraps are 2 so that cost is 5*unit price*2 and so on to calculate how much it will cost to get to a pristine hide from that material.

    Really nice guides.

Hardly any sellers on all the cooking recipes so I'm definitely going to jump on that!

These are nice guides, Drrwho. I think 1 page is a great length. One thing I might suggest is some sort of section at the end of them with relevant links for anyone looking for more info/insight. It would fit with the idea of a reference sheet because any math posts or calculators, spreadsheets, etc. would be worth checking out as well.

Nice work, though. What other ideas did you have in mind, I'm curious...

I'm still throwing around some ideas in my head currently. Been so busy at work and whatnot that I haven't had a chance to work on any more mini-guides yet.

One will likely be relating to Enchanted Thorium Blades though, as I make those to DE quite a bit. Greater Eternal Essences sell pretty well and generate good profit margins.

May also do one relating to Carnelians and an analysis of doing transmutes to Inferno Ruby vs. making Carnelian Spikes to DE, then making Mighty Stats to Chest enchant scrolls with the DE mats. Just gotta get the time to do them... I'm deep into a programming project at work, involving ASP.net/VB.net and SQL programming. But I do take breaks periodically, so sometimes I utilize those breaks to work on writing mini-guides

The other day I was programming for about 7 hours straight (was really determined to figure out how to make something work correctly), no break other than to eat lunch quick. I felt the effects of that marathon later that evening... my brain was nearly toast, and I was trying to raid. Needless to say, it was a bit rough. So I doubt I will do a programming marathon like that again... periodic breaks are a must-have, or everything starts to get jumbled up.

Why not just link to the blog posts that have already been made on these same topics instead of rewording them?

I believe the purpose was to have something a bit more accessible than a link to a blog:

These obviously make for a better reference sheet than the vast majority of the blog formats out there. Most blog posts wouldn't be very print-friendly, would they?
