You'll Feel Right as Rain - New 4.1 Achievement and how to profit

From mmo-champion a couple weeks back there was a new achievement that slipped in that from the looks of it is not mentioned by any gold blogger out there (and you guys complain you need things to write about? ok ok just joking )

    http://ptr.wowhead.com/achievement=5779

This achievement requires a player to eat 91 . Yup 91!!.

    Reagents for this cookie are:
1x - Purchasable from the vendor for ~20c (depending on your rep and potential guild perks) for a stack of 5.
1x - Contained in which is purchased with 1 Chef's Award from either A[npc]49701[/npc] / H[npc]49737[/npc]. This bag will give you a decent chunk of cocoa beans per bag ~40 would seem to be a safe guess. Wowhead data shows 5-20 but that is incorrect.

Cocoa beans can also be purchased from the AH.

So with this achievement potentially going live tommorow (datamined info again is always suspect) I would suggest a couple ideas.

    A) See if you can find some cheap cocoa beans to buy up and make some cookies yourself to relist on the AH. If you do not have access to the recipe, find someone who can cook them for you or flip the cocoa beans (For some reason Theunderminejournal.com does not let you search for cocoa beans).

    B) Go out of your way to do the cooking daily today and tommorow especially so you can buy more cocoa beans. Also if the patch does hit there are new cooking dailies in other cities for more tokens.

I personally picked up a large amount of cocoa beans at 5g per stack and am fairly confident that the large demand of 91 needed per person will easily allow me to sell the cookies at 20g per stack, nearly a 4x return on my investment.

The cookies stack up to 20 so you could either list some stacks of 11 along with your 20 stacks or just list stacks of 20 and keep an eye on the ah for leftovers to recombine and relist. If you have competition on the AH you may want to look at barking in trade and selling these direct /2 100g for achievement. Spice that bark up a little bit and you will get some bites.

Note 100g is actually fairly cheap but still a significant ROI. I would expect you to be able to get 200g if you are not dealing with a lot of competition - YMMV depending on server of course.

You should be able to search for the cookies on TUJ, which should show the ingredients they use. You can click the beans from there. I've had similar issues with TUJ for other items.

I clicked the beans and it send me to wowhead. Maybe it is because wowhead shows them as being purchasable from a vendor.

Very nice find. Luckily a guildy had a load of stacks up on the AH for 2g per stack.

Edit: Crafted over 500 cookies so far...WTB Grandma to help, pst

Btw, isn't this in reference to the scene in the movie "The Matrix?"

Right after the Oracle tells Neo that he is not "the one" she offers him a chocolate chip cookie and tells him that "He'll feel right as rain."

I only know this because I watched it last night.

Crafting cookies away now, but I got to wondering how many cocoa beans should I save to list on the AH

Interesting post, I managed to snatch up about 10 stacks of Cocoa beans for under 5g a stack. Will see how it goes from there.

Worth flagging up that (on PTRs) this achievement is not worth any points: Categorised as a general achievement, but set up like a Feat of Strength. Whether this makes any difference depends on the perspective of individual achievement junkies.
