    Vial of the Sands

I have been farming for for between 50 and 60 hours without any luck. It looks like it only drops to people how don't want to make gold of, of it as people are offering to make it for a 1000G in trade, and there's none posted on the AH on my server.

This new goldsink isnøt going to sell very fast, but it will sell, and as i don't belive it will drop in price much for a long time i have desided to make an investment in it:

    To make 1 You need:
    1 - vendorprice 5.000G
    8 - vendorprice 3000G each =24.000G
    12 Ah price on my server 800G = 9.600G
    8 - Serveprice: 154G = 1.232G
    8 - Serverprice 80G = 640G
    8 - Serverprice 2G = 16G
    + 1 crafting tip of 1.000G

    Total "budget" investment: 41.488G

    Now to the tip:
I rolled a gobil and leveled that to lvl 12 and got to Orgrimmar. i payed a random guy with a 2 person flyong mount a tip to fly me past every single Fp down to the vendor in Uldum, and then i got the Vendor items on my Gobil - and saving 20% on all of it = 1000+4800 = 5.800G. Thats a pretty nice amount to save for the 4 hours of leveling. And by having the FP down there i can get more at any time.

Personally i picked up materials to craft 5 , and payed a alchemist 1500g tip to make all 5 = only 300G crafting tip per mount.

I now have 5 to sell and im testing server prices atm, and have turned already turned down an offer at 40K. (with the tips, and gobil discount the total price per mount for me is 35.200G)

Check out your server prices for the mount, and se if you are able to make some money of this item - even if you don't got the recipe like me.

My biggest challange was actually to get my hands on 60 , which is why I have that at 800G. I could have gotten this cheaper for sure with some more time, but desided to start selling - and picked up a semi high prices.

Yeah. I've had no luck getting that mount. In fact, I have the scarab mount and still haven't gotten the recipie.

I am as well, still farming the pattern. I have been saving up for this reason. I'm on ally side, so I can't get the Goblin discount without xfaction trading. I am going to aim for 50k or so. I think it may take awhile to move.

It's dosn't matter to me if it take awhile to move, as long as they do move I just don't want to make a "how i ended up with a vial of the sands on all my alt" post in the biggest mistakes thread..

Might be overkill to make 5 of them to start with - I sometimes forget how much money 50.000G actually is to the average player

Also still slowly farming for the recipe, although I can only face an hour or so of digging every couple of days Had my first canopic jar but no drop. As soon as my alchemist picks this up it will be my last dig site on him and I get to do them all over again for achi points on my main.

I do intend to be a dealer in these, no-one else is doing it on my server yet, and I have both a flying goblin and the gold resource to invest in them. I'm not sure about the prospective rate of sales though, so do keep us informed on how easy (or not) it proves to shift 4 or 5 of these babies.

I must be lucky because it dropped for me on the first jar I received. Completed 7+ items after that drop and it hasn't dropped again. I've made about 2k g making the vial but still can't afford it myself. I have all of the mats needed except the ones you can purchase. Still working on the gold to do so. The plan is to market it after it is made to make enough to make another and keep doing so until I have enough to make 2... guess who gets the 2nd one! I have noticed on my server that the price has gone down from 75k+ to around 60K. I think this is due to the mats costing less. But, so does the "tip."

After 2 days I have 3 left. Had to use one on my main, and sold one today on a regular Ah sale (Hordeside) at 46,5K before fee, which is around 9K profit.

I sold 5 when they first came out for an amazing profit. First for 105k, 2 for 80k, and the other 2 for 60k. Since then, the prices are now about 45k on alliance side, which I don't even want to even really bother with. I think Alliance side gets screwed on this

Day 3-4: After some heavy undercutting war the price on Horde was down to 40500, and we agreed to reset the price to 45000.

I sold one (AH sale) Horde side 40500G before fee
I sold one (AH sale) Ally side 47.750

I have tried barking with discounts, but no serious responce

After 2 weeks i have now sold 6 total.

I got 5 made at 35.200G each, and I sold 4 of these I a week at 40,5k, 47,8k, 44K & 42K (the last one I use on my main). After that decided not to make more. One of my guildies have the recipe, so I don't want to go aggressive in the market - just wanted to test the waters.

Saturday morning I saw 2 up at 32K each. I don’t understand how someone can put 2 mounts up at that price (no other up). After fee you are looking at 30,4K per mount. It’ must be someone with the “I have farmed the materials my self so therefore it’s FREE” - approach to auctions” (=LOL).

    I sold the 2 in the same weekend at 42K & 44K

All in all I have now sold 6 at in the 40-48K range – and actually have a small profit on the total investment even with 1 used by my self.

Besides some nice profit, it’s a great item to use when you need to move money from Horde side to Ally side, as ally players can’t get the 5800G goblin discount. Since you can turn your “investment” in to ally liquid at a price below ally’s crafting prices, you’ll be able to sell very fast.
