    4.0.6 Honor Trade Goods

From Edlan Halsing in Stromwind Champion's Hall (and presumably similar for Horde):
    • - 100 HP (Honor Points)
    • - 400 HP
    • - 600 HP
    • 5x - 375 HP
    • 20x - 1250 HP
    • 20x - 1000 HP
    • Satchel of Freshly Picked Herbs ("Contains a selection of 20 random Cataclysm herbs") - 1500 HP

Grinding Honor will always (?) take longer than gathering, so these items will enter the economy only due to excess honor being available to players. However as the season progresses, excess honor will become more common, so expect this vendor to gradually normalize prices (eg the highest value per honor item reducing in auction house price first).

I wonder if these are similar items that we can expect to see from Justice Points in the future? I remember reading somewhere that Blizzard will make it so you can buy certain trade goods with JP.

I definitely expect to see Chaos Orbs on that list eventually.

I would imagine Chaos Orbs will be added to the Justice Points vendor eventually and made BOE. But probably not for a few months yet. Blizzard will let the crafting professions have their money maker for the timebeing, while prices are higher. Once prices fizzle down, that's when I see Chaos Orbs showing up on the JP vendor.

If they are added to the justice points vendor (I actually was expecting it to happen this patch) I doubt they would make them boe, my guess is they make the new patterns require the chaos orbs plus something new from the new raids in future tiers. I guess it is all speculation though.

On a related note - Is anyone else frustrated that the tailors keep taking the chaos orbs because they need 5 to make a single cloth. That value per orb is significantly less then the bs/lw/eng professions are getting. I feel like this will be changed in a future patch.

Yea, the 5 per cloth is a serious waste of Orbs. A mage in my guild does it too, and I'm probably doing to tell him to stop. Other people need them and can craft needed gear with them, instead of wasting on a single piece of cloth, which sells for WAY less than 5 orbs.

In terms of putting Chaos Orbs on JP vendor, when they've done it in the past, they became BOE at that point. It's totally possible they won't this time, as Blizzard could pretty much do whatever they want. I just bet they would become BOE anyway. Waiting a few months would justify it since the cost per orb will have dropped considerably by then. They did the same with Primal Nether and Nether Vortex in BC.

Chances are if they made new crafting recipes, they would add a new version of the Chaos Orb, which could be BoP and drop in the next tier of raids. Once they do that, they could make Chaos Orbs BOE.

Well just did some quick math and this is kind of sad. I was looking at the justice points items over at http://kaliope.crafterstome.com/ Thanks Kaliope by the way.

The most cost effective item that I see right now per JP relative to the prices on my server is the at 1200 JP for 1 shard.
1 Shard on my server sells for 80g.

This rate is only going to get worse as cata items drop in value.
1200 JP/ 110 JP (The cost of and the other similar gems) = 10.90909 gems I can purchase for 1200 justice points.
    10.90909 gems x 9g vendor value for cut wrath gems = 98.18181g

I would rather vendor gems and purchase mats I need on the AH.

I agree with Aeg, although the good part is that for those who are Honor "gear" capped, it gives everyone something to do with their Honor (assuming they like running BG's for the fun of it).

"Wrath of the Lich King purple, green, and orange gems have been increased in cost to match red, blue, and yellow epic gems (220 Justice Points). Burning Crusade epic gems have been increased in cost to match the most expensive Wrath of the Lich King gems."

New patch note info which makes my above math obsolete and the Cata mats worth it. I will be trading in all my extra justice points before the patch to take advantage before the change.
