WTS: Truegold Transmute - but at what price?

I powerleveled Alchemy on a lvl 80 crafting toon, and hit 525 for around 10.000G.

I can now transmute . The items needed to make are very volatile in price im finding it hard to calculate a profit from the transmute (24 h cooldown). That fact and the fact that I don't have any crafting toons that will need truegold for a long time means that i have desided to sell my cooldown.

But what is the price for a 24 hour Transmute cooldown these days? (which also lock me out of the shared Cooldowns)?

I responded to one wanting to buy a CD yesterday and got 800G for the CD.

I'm not spending a whole lot of time in the trade channel these days so im thinking WTS at 800G - and willing to accept down to 500 (to low? launch + 1 week)

Just read the removal of BoP on which need 12 . That will defently not decrease the value of and i might even consider take up arch. to find the recipe.

I generally look at the value of the CD as what I can make for purchasing the items, using the transmute and selling the truegold on the AH. That is generally the highest amount you can make for your transmute and as such selling yours should be priced accordingly. Of course you could subtract a bit for AH fees and hassles selling.

Just make sure you cant make more then 800g profit selling a Truegold on the AH.

If the items needed to make Truegold are volatile, and Truegold stays at a stable price, then there is no reason you shouldn't snipe low-priced mats here and there and just sell the Truegold for as much as you can, whether on the AH or the Trade channel.

I wont sell nor give away my cooldown, since I am a transmute master I would rather craft the item myself, in hopes that I will get another transmute proc. On my server it is generally assumed that any transmute proc's will automatically go to the person who supplied the Materials, which I understand, but I'd rather not give away free gold if I don't have too :P

I know if you are in a group, they will see how many you produce. Does that information show up in any other visible logs if you are not in a group? I think you could simply state beforehand that you keep any transmute procs. If they don't like it, they are welcome to find someone else.

I regularly see people advertise their transmute and state beforehand that their fee includes any procs. It's completely fair if stated beforehand.

Or you can trade them a Truegold and do the transmute later if you have one in your bags already. My general rule on this is if a person is just looking for a transmute then the bonus belongs to the alchemist. Assuming the player is looking for a transmute master specifically they should expect to pay more for the chance at a proc.

Aeg, that's actually a great way to do things. If you have a truegold on you, give them that one and do the transmute after they leave. Then they have nothing to complain about.

I sold my first 3 bars of Truegold for 3000 apiece. For those first few days, only myself and another guy were listing them, and they were selling quickly. At the time, the mats were going for about 1100-1200 assuming that you bought your volatile airs when prices were low.

After 3 days of basically no competition, a half dozen other transmuters jumped on the Truegold gravy train and the undercutting began. Earlier today my latest bar sold for about 2380. Material prices still hover between 1100-1600, largely varying based on the price of volatile air.
