Profit Off Cooks - Selling Materials For Cooking Daily

There's good gold to be made here. The first thing I do once I get up is to the Dalaran Cooking Daily/Fishing Daily. The Second thing I do is run to the Auction House and buy the required meat for the Dalaran Cooking Daily. There's great gold to be made here, and no doubt it's extremely easy.

4 out of the 5 Dalaran Cooking Dailies require meat. 3 of those require 2-4 chilled meat, and the last one requires 4 Rhino meat. Both meats can be farmed with ease but they require flying for 2-8 minutes.

    Where To Farm

A great place to farm Rhino Meat is in Storm Peaks. Right around the Engine of Makers there are several Rhino Packs that are easy to chain pull and loot & then skin. I can generally pull a stack of meat in about 5 minutes. On top of the meat you also get leather! A great plus, If I must say.

As for farming chilled meat. I reccomend flying over to Scholozar Basin and farming Hardnuckle Foragers. They have roughly a 61% drop rate on the meat. They are easily chain pullable, and on top of this they are also great for skinners. This is by far one of the best spots to farm Chilled Meat & Borean Leather.

How much gold we talking here?

If you sell the meats in stacks of 2 & 4 ( Chilled Meat ) Or A stack of 4 ( Rhino Meat ), you're going to be making more gold than selling them in bulk. There is a stack of 4 chilled meat on the Auction House right now going for 6g. A stack of 4 Rhino Meat goes for 10g on my server.

Both of the meats are great money makers. Especially the Rhino Meat. If you're a cook you can also sell the finished product required for the cooking daily, it might fetch for more than the raw meat.

I've never tried this, I'm sure that i tried selling Chilled Meat and it never moved. However I never tried Rhino Meat, thanks for the tip.
I'm also considering moving realms, hopefully somewhere larger and this may work there and if not the Cataclysm equivalent.

The Rhino Dogs actually sell better than the Rhino meat for me. I only list them on days that they are needed for the daily.

Ah, I'll probably move more into cooking in the expansion when I'll be playing more and have the time to actually check what the cooking daily is :/

I'd recommend grabbing a bunch of Chilled meats right now. They are listing for silvers each. When Pilgrim's Bounty hits (late November) there will be TONS of characters leveling cooking. This event makes it trivial to hit 300 cooking - I did it last year on a level 60ish alt in an hour or so and the 50 points to get to TLK stuff isn't bad. However, every toon will need 4 chilled meats just to unlock cooking and it's an option for leveling 350-365 (or 380 as a green, which still might be better than other meat pricing) and 400+ as critter bites. That week will see an explosion of cooking demand - many people wait for then to level cooking on alts knowing how breezy it is. Too bad they pushed cata back to December - this coupled with new worgens and goblins and everyone in Azeroth zones all the time would have really pushed this into a superfrenzy. There's always next year

This is also a very nice way for people just getting started to make nice ROI profit without risking a lot - if you buy the meat at 25s and it sells for 2g that's nearly 1000% ROI and can turn a couple hundred gold into a couple thousand quickly.

Excellent idea. I currently have 4 or 5 alts who leveled cooking last year and are sitting between 300 and 350.

I found Borean Tundra, between Amber Ledge and Warsong Hold and excellent place to farm for rhino meat.

The area between Warsong Hold and Riplash Strand has been a decent spot for me to farm Rhino Meats as well.

Which meats, specifically? I'll admit, this is a market I haven't worked with in the past, mainly because it seemed too small. But I can add the meats to my snatch list, and save them up for a year (just like I've done with and
