    so i know i can use it to check prices and quantities of various items. is there a way to check purely auction numbers on it? or is there another site i can go to in order to check them? ie: ursin alliance has 9000 items on the ah.

    being being i guess, im currently on a small server, only ~190 pages of auctions, and im looking for a big server, preferably alliance, to start a toon on. is there a site i can go to in order to find that server or do i have to manually check the ah and compare numbers?

    When you go to choose a server it tells you if it is high/medium/low population. Pick a high pop server and just make sure that if it is dominated by one faction that you choose the right one. Any of those high pop servers will have the largest amount of auctions. As to comparing those I do not think the information is out there but perhaps erorus could help you out there. You may want to repost this down in Theunderminejournal development section for more info.

    the actual high/medium/low pop is relative to the size of the actual server, not to the population its self. so you cant exactly go off that:/
    as for posting this at tuj's development section, i think i might just go and do that thanks aeg!

    I am not sure what this means? What other parameters are there for size of a server except for population?

    the servers are not all the same size. and the "population" of the server, is relative to the servers actual size.so, you may have a high pop serve rand a medium pop server. and the medium pop server is actually the high population, its just less full because the server its self is larger. does that make sense?

    I believe what you are trying to point out is that the "low", "med", and "high" from the blizzard site refers to the capacity of the server and not it's actual population. For example, a low population server that is close to capacity might actually have more people on it than a medium server.

    Is that what you were getting at?

    Population = current server load.

    Thus, you could get on during a server's peak time and see which ones are listed at High. You can also take a look at http://www.warcraftrealms.com/realmstats.php?sort=Total but be aware that these numbers are user-collected through addons and may not be entirely accurate.

    YES. capacity. hehe. thats what i was getting at. so a server with 3700/4000 players online is considered high while a server with 9000/14000 is considered medium. the only thing you can really telll from the listed server pop is how full it is. not how many players are actually on it
