    What did Sack of Spoils (Silithus) contain?

    was a quest reward in Silithus pre-shattering, by turning in sets of three Abyssal Signets from the lesser elementals. As I understand it, both the and any unique items it once contained (such as the ) are now unobtainable (related quests no longer seem exist, except for the ones related to ).

    I was curious if my thinking here was correct, and if so, does anyone know of any other interesting items once contained in that would be worth picking up? I wasn't able to find a list of possible contents for this item on wowhead, wowwiki, thottbot, or wowpedia. I'd assume unobtainable items like these would become sought after by collectors?

    PS: Sorry if this is the wrong forum or already discussed elsewhere, I'm still learning my way around and a forum search didn't yield anything that looked related to either of these items.

    // edit //

    I've found references to a few blues, including:

    (can drop elsewhere, according to wowhead).

    (also unique to ?).

    There also appears to be a number of items unique to the Dukes and Abyssal Lords:

    .
    .

    And a couple other bracers, leggings, and pauldrons with random attributes.

    Yes, that's about it. Dukes and Royals had their own drop tables, and some of those purples (the focus band in particular) were in some demand because of the difficulty in filling those slot pre-raid. You'd also get blues with random enchants, some of which would sell for pretty good gold depending on the enchant.

    No vanity or persisting items though... I don't think there's anything in there worth pursuing now. The value in these items came from the fact that Blizzard was TERRIBLE at itemizing in Classic, so a good blue "of the Bear" item might actually be better than any of the garbage +Spirit plate you could pull from instances at the time.

    I will add a note though... farming this area, the Twilight Cultists in Silithus, is still a pretty profitable venture.

    One... you can turn in the Twilight Texts to the hermit for a chance to get the Runed Stygian gear patterns, which sell fairly well still.

    Two... you can get a decent number of low to mid lvl 50's green items from these mobs. Plus you can get the same from the elementals you can summon using the 3 pieces of cultist gear. Those elementals drop at least a green item, if not a blue, which can disenchant into a Large Brilliant Shard.

    Three... TONS of runecloth. I still think this is the best farming spot for Runecloth. Easy to kill mobs, lots of them, and most drop several runecloth each.

    Altogether, it's something to do to kill time if you are bored and it's easy gold.
