    Mining, Skinning or Herbing

The big question about farming in the first few days of Cata, which materials will go for more in the AH immediately after launch, new metals, herbs or leathers? As I was in the process of moving for WOTLK (set me back 3 weeks) and started in BC, I have no clue which traditionally was the best seller. Any ideas?

I say equal demand. With race realm first being removed, only class and profession realm first remains.

I would think Mining. Ore is used by Jewelcrafters, Blacksmiths and Engineers.
Herbing second, due to demand by two professions, inscription and alchemy.

Skinning is only being used by leatherworkers. (yes I know some Tailoring recipes use it, but not as prevalent)

I was thinking mining as well. My mining toon however does that, mines and then enchants. Yet my herber/skinner is my Druid (Flight Form rocks). Still unsure who i'll spend more time on.

I would vote Mining, but as I've said in other forums, why NOT do both? My plan, with my dual gatherer, is to pick Mining as my primary "farm", but I will pickup ALL herbs along the way also.

I figured i'd post this here since this seems like the appropriate thread. The best place for farming savage leather is in deepholme off the bats in the Shuddering Spire (I htink that's wat it's called). They roam in packs of 8-10 bats, have only about 5336 health. Sometimes you'll pull a pack of 5 mobs of the lizardmen with the claws (srry i can't think of their name), but they only have about 10k health which for my rogue is a field day.

Atm i only have a skinner and a herbfarmer.

I don't farm much, but once in a while i need the materials, and then i log one of my farmers.

It's very dependend on what time of day it is wether I log my herb or lether farmer.

If I log my Herb farmer in Uldum at 8 pm, I can fly around for 10 min without getting a single Herb node. If log at like 11:30 pm or another non-peek hour i get A LOT more herbs.

If i wan't to farm in peek hours i farm lether - and with all the leveling going on I "ninja farm a lot"

Yesterday i spend 30 min on my Druid Skinner in this area (Uldum):

Usual there's a lot of people I the ares killing the Mangy Hyenas - And i just fly around on my lvl 80 Druid skinner and pick up the leather (1 per Hyenas = no scarps).

Last night i skinned 16-17 stacks of leather in 35-45 minutes without killing a single mob.
