@Hacez - Ya it's weird. They will go yellow at around 20% but by the time I gain threat they are already dead. But when I Mind Sear, 2-3 ticks and I have everything that got hit on me. Is it like the first few that are there have like set aggro on the guards but the ones after that are the ones that should be coming to me?

Are you implying Priests fart epic deeps?

Another pretty good place to farm embersilk is the verlok stand in deepholm. There's no way I could get the 1200 cloth/hour that others get in the twilight highlands, but I average 750-900 embersilk/hour farming as a fire mage with tailoring.

Here's a one hour run I did earlier today that came out to ~4200g in materials and gold.(assuming 80g/stack embersilk)

I'm not sure which other classes could effectively farm the area since the mobs aren't aggro'd onto anything else.
    Anyways, someone might be interested.

Personally the my favorite place to farm cloth is horde only and its in Twilight highlands. Its the area just to the south east of the obsidian forest. There u will find tanks! What u do is seed of corruption or just aoe dmg each of the engineers around the tank then kill the tank itself. When the tank dies all of the engineers die and u can loot them! They dont fight back even tho they are marked as hostile. So i just dot up each of the tanks make sure to AoE the engineers and BAM lots of cloth greens and tiny treasure chests! Also the respawn is CRAZY fast so u can literally do it all day!

I have really been embersilk farming in Mount Hyjal lately..I know that 85 lvl mobs drop more stuff..but I believe that a lower level mob will get killed faster and hence more goods over time. I especially like the North west corner road near shrine of goldinn, there are hunters and the npcs orges that walk by every 10 seconds with one helper.
Its easy, Its fast and there really is alot of cloth at the end of your hour of farming from Mount Hyjal.

Thank you for the recommended spots. I found Deepholm to work out very nicely for myself, netting 46 bolts of embersilk for an hour of work (I began as I took my potion of treasure finding, and stopped once it expired.) Although I'm sure I could have picked up more somewhere else, it was nice and quiet and I didn't have to deal with any PVP. I've been leveling two tailors at the same time, which has required a painful amount of embersilk, but I think being able to have multiple cooldowns will be convenient, as I already have multiple alchemists and find having multiple specializations to have come in handy a number of times. I would rather spend time farming for things I need than buy it with gold, but I think while reading more here I'm becoming more aware of the "Time is money, friend" philosophy, which is good, and hopefully I'll start getting a better idea of when it's worth it to just buy the materials off the AH.
