So there is this guy on Thrall US Horde who I believe is just walling [Living Steel Belt Buckle] at 500g for no reason. Yesterday until this guy posted they were going for almost 600g. He then posts 25 of them at 500g and leaves them sit...He's not even attempting to undercut... Do you think it's a robin hood type of scenario? Cheaper products for the people? Or maybe he's just being impatient and knows someone will buy them all eventually? Either way, I'm not sure I want to risk resetting such a high volume market.
I'm currently making two buckles a day from raw mats (ghost iron ore to living steel) via two transmute alchemists. The rest of the buckles I buy the living steel off of the AH. At these prices, the living steel I buy off of the AH I'm only making a 50-90g profit vs the over 150g profit I was making per 1 yesterday. I'm not going to leave the market while its still somewhat profitable, I'm just curious as to what he's getting at here when, with the supply he has laying around, he could be making a lot more of a profit. As I'm sure you all know, buckles sell very well...I probably sold 10-15 of them at the close to 600g range yesterday before he decided to wall the market.
;tldr What's the point of purposely shooting your profits in the foot? Also, looking at his heat map he only posts at 9pm and 12am on thursdays and saturdays? Seems kinda odd. He doesn't even come back to re-undercut people.
