    Volatile Life prices, and bots.

    The price of every day the last 3-4 weeks, have been 3-3.5g each on my server. I am somewhat surprised this is not the norm.

    I checked the TUJ today, and I got these numbers;
    US Alliance Market Price -> 9g 15s 62c
    US Alliance Mean -> 9g 30s 28c

    Does this mean my server is filled with bots?
    Whats the price on your server, and how do you exploit it if its low?

    Mine is between 10-13 gold.

    Most of the bots on my server are ore bots.

    Prices dropped to about that at one point on my server. But lately they've been climbing back up to the 8-10g range. Bots are certainly one explanation for your low prices, but I could think of a few other possibilities. One, not a lot of alchemists making flasks. Two, not a lot of people messing with DMCs anymore. I believe those are the two biggest uses of Vol. Life out there. If they're not being used, they're going to sit on the AH and be constantly undercut. If that's the case, I don't think there's much to exploit. Attempting to reset probably won't be worth it if the reason there's so many is that no one is buying in the first place. You could always stockpile a few literal stacks of them in anticipation of epic gem transmutes (assuming they'll take volatiles), or see if converting them now is profitable.

    More likely though, you just have a lot of bots. I'd think the best way to figure that out is to use TUJ to see who is posting them. If it's a lot of large batches from a few players, I'd assume that's bots. If there's just a ton of people posting them, probably not bots. (Note: just realized you're on an EU server. You can still do this, just check in auctionator instead. Less posters + huge batches could = bots, lots of posters + lesser batches could = regular farmers.) lIf it's bots, stockpiling in anticipation of a ban wave could work out well in your favor. Wait until the market stops being flooded, demand spikes, you sell for nice profits!

    Lastly, you could look in to crossfaction trading. Maybe they're not botting the opposite faction as much as they are yours (or maybe the other faction simply has less players), so you could make some decent gold that way.

    Between 1.75g and 4g, with 2.5 to 3.5 being the usual on the high population side of my EU server. There are a *lot* of bots though collecting herbs or very very very dedicated farmers!

    We seem to have more herbers than miners though as the recent drop in price for ore to 35 ish for elementium has ended and were back to 47-50

    9-12g, although I'm seeing more days with the market stuck at 12-14g.

    My realm is definitly infested with bots. I checked how many "Volatile Life" it was @ ah, and the number was 9600! When I checked TUJ, the numbers are usually 1-3k, some are up around 4-5k, but 9k, cmon I guess I just have to enjoy it while it lasts.

    Edit: I just realized the Scatter Plots on TUJ only shows alliance if you have chosen an alliance server, and horde if you have chosen a horde server. Except it will show both alliance and horde prices and availability on the server you've selected, but none of the other servers other factions. This confused me a bit. On the horde servers I saw some of them actually had both 13k and 10k volatile life @ ah, so maybe its not that special with 9k after all.

    Vince, I don't think it's a question of Alchemists not making flasks, so much as it's Alchemists only making flasks for their raids. It's slightly different thinking, but I agree with you about the results: flask volumes are WAY down (see my thread re: Alchemy help).

    If DMC interest keeps dropping, using Cata herbs for glyphs becomes ever more viable.

    Back on topic, Life on my server fluctuates around 6g right now.

    1-3g. Our server is dripping with bots. Volatile Air peaks at 16g on a good day.
