    Remote AH automated tools

I have built a small web application on top of a Remote Web Auction House, it can watch prices pretty much like TUJ, but it can also be set to automatically buyout any item on faction/neutral AH without even being online. I am thinking of using it to dominate a market 24/7. What do you guys think about it?

I'm not sure this would sit well with the TOS/EULA. Tread lightly until you've verified with Blizzard if this is allowed.

That's true, I am actually thinking about contacting them(Blizz) directly to see what they'll think about it. It is pretty much undetectable, no one will know who sits behind the web browser on the other side of Europe, but I don't really feel like I want to do anything "illegal". I might pretty much start to use it as TUJ. Since there isn't any tool like TUJ for European realms(not that I know of), I'd have pretty strong advantage anyway.

So, I've tried to look around various forums (and, of course, inside the actual ToS and EULA), and I couldn't find anything directly mentioning this. However, I'd advise caution, because historically, Blizzard has always showed the greatest loathing for automation. The 200 auctions per day limit is a hint that they don't want things to get out of hand. So if I were you, I'd deactivate the thing, drop the tech support a line and ask them if it's OK.

Oh, and whatever you do: do NOT, under any circumstance, ever try to sell such a program, because Blizzard will come after you with a vengeance (think of Glider).

Such a tool already exists. There's been a thread on it previously, but its name was removed (not sure I agree with that decision), so I won't post it here. Likewise, it has options to autobuyout but also options requiring the required hardware input per transaction.

    Like others say, tread lightly.

I may have mis-understood, but do you mean it can purchase items without any input from the user?
If it pops up with a "Would you like to buy this item?" box and then makes you click Yes or No on a per-auction basis then it'll be fine, but if it does it all for you then Blizz will never allow it.

However, I am FULLY in support of you using this as a European TUJ. We are sorely lacking in not having TUJ, and this could go a long way to helping us all out. Jog On!

Thanks a lot for your effort. That's true, it's not worth it to get sued.

True, but that's more like in game bot. While I don't lack the skill to find, use, or even create my own in game bot, this tool is much more sophisticated. I wouldn't even call it a bot.

It can work multiple ways. It could send a link to your email, where you'd just click the link and the auction would be bought. It could send you a text message so you know there is such a deal available on the AH.
But it also could buy the auction for you and resell the item for you.

Not that I don't care about TOS/EULA, but this thing is and will be undetectable. I have started to do it as a simple European TOJ counterpart and then it occurred to me that instead of sending an email, it could actually do buyout right away. The thing is I am not quite sure I want to do this, it would literally put me on the "dark side".
I just wanted to get a POV of another fellow "goblins". Would you use it if you knew it would be undetectable? Would you use it only the way TUJ is being used?

There are several R-AH bots and even simple browser plugins etc out there that they are extremely detectable by Blizzard. Be careful.

Personally, I'd love to use this as a european version of TUJ to send me notifications that I could then hop onto the RAH and buy, etc.

I would LOVE anything that, within the TOS/EULA, would bring somethign like TUJ to European servers.

My fealing is that any of the automation parts you discribe will just get a short shrap NO from Blizzard. It's my fealing that even emails/texts sent to you saying 'X is on offer on the AH for Yg' would be to much for them. They litrally want to you be sitting in front of the keyboard looking at what your buying and pressing those keys to both find and buy anything. I think if you can get something to aquire the AH listings/prices aka TUJ as that is just information your gathering and not allowing any actions in any way or form, I suspect they cant really complain about that. Just dont charge for it. The other thing in favour of just 'scanning via the remote AH' is that means it's a method open to all - no need for the RAH monthly payment.

I think for a lot here the 200 list/buy limit per day on the RAH would be a issue as well, it cant ever replace how we use the AH in game. For me though just gaining data on the AH moves and prices would be great and give any trader using that a good advantage. My advice would be go with the data mining/gathering side, get Blizzard to agree to that (always safest to do that) then look at other options (with a totaly diffrent name for the plugin/app/software) and see what else can be done with agreement.
