Cross-Faction Trading: Two Accounts on 1 BNET or 2 different BNET accounts?

    Hello

For some time I've been wanting to start operating on the horde AH of my server and I've been wondering where should I put my 2nd account, if on the same BNET account my main's is or on a brand new one.

The doubt I have is, if I put them both on the same BNET account, will I be able to trade through the neutral AH or will the game treat both WoW accounts as one due to being on the same BNET account? How about the remote AH service?

I could just go safe and put them both on separate BNET accounts but I'd love to avoid the hassle of having to carry 2 authenticators. Saving 3 bucks a month on the second remote AH would be a plus.

Sorry if this sounds too dumb. I have no idea how 2 WoW accounts work together under 1 BNET account...

    Thanks

You can have 2 accounts on the same Bnet and use them for cross faction trading. The restriction is based on a game account, not a Bnet one. For the remote AH i have no idea as i don't use it.

And it doesn't sound dumb, Blizzard don't really explain these rules very well so it's down to player to ask or find out for themselves.

As Thefluffyrocker says, I can confirm you can buy your own auctions using two different accounts that are on the same Battle.net account

Unfortunately you need to subscribe to the remote ah on both accounts, even if they are on the same bnet account.

This is true. I use one for Alliance and one for Horde. The good thing about doing this is that you'll be able to use 400 AH transactions, although you certainly pay the price for it as it's rather expensive for what it is, in my opinion.

On a separate note for those possibly interested in doing RAF with themselves.. Can you do it with both accounts being on the same Bnet account? I didn't want to test it so I just created a whole separate Bnet account for my second WoW account. I do know however that you can put one Authenticator on 2 separate Bnet accounts.

I believe that you can...I seem to remember reading on some other forum about a guy who regularly RAF's to his same BNET email address (essentially emailing himself the RAF invite).

I've done this but I haven't merged my accounts into one battlenet account.

Exactly what would be the advantage of merging your accounts? Just to have only one authenticator? I use the iphone app and the same code works on both accounts.

Yeah, this should work. WHen you login with your Battlenet ID, after you authenticate, a window pops up asking you WHICH account you wish to use in this session.

Personally, I opted to have SEPARATE battlenet ID's for two reasons - 1, the use of two separate authenticators, and 2, the use of two separate email addresses. I also know I can merge them later if I ever want to.
