[Quick Guide] How to change the amount that Auctioneer Undercuts by

Pretty simple guide, and I'm sure most gold veterans know how to do this already but I was asked how to do it today so thought I would post a very quick and dirty guide on how to do it.

    1) Open Up Auctioneer
    2) Hit the Configure Button at the top of the window
    3) Click on "SimpleAuction" from the menu in the left window pane.
    4) Either select Fixed Values from the Undercut Basis Drop Down Menu and then type the fixed amount below, or leave it at Percentage and lower/raise the "Percentage undercut amount" slide bar to what you want it to be.

sin, thank you for the short but very useful guide but i have one question, for some reason, it only automatically undercuts when its near 100% auction value instead of what i really need it to be (alot higher) seeing as the glyph market on my server is still showing all glyphs as a really high percentage....

I'm not 100% sure what you mean there, could you try clarify a bit? Maybe with an example.
I'm off to college quick and will be back in several hours to see if I can help you more.

sorry i apologize, , say is up on the auction house for 150g which auctioneer says is 100% auction price, if i post mine, it would undercut it by 1c, which is the undercutting price i set on SimpleAuction, yet if is selling for 150g which auctioneer says is 300% auction price, the undercut price i set on SimpleAuction wont automatically undercut and i have to manually set the undercut of said glyph to 149g 99s 99c. i hope this clarifies what im asking and thank you for you time and very sorry for inconveniencing you with my poor ability to ask clear questions haha its a problem of mine when i'm jittery

I believe if you go into MatchModules under Undercut, you can set the max percentage you will undercut. If you set it really high then you can undercut everything by 1c even if it thinks that item is 200% overpriced.

That is odd, I've never come across that before. What I do when posting items is I open Auctioneer, click on the Post tab and drag my item there. Then I ALWAYS hit the Refresh button to update the price and then I hit Crate Auction.

I believe you are using Appraiser when this happens? I see it, too. If Auc sees the item as "Above Market Value" it will price the item at what it thinks is market value without undercutting. I seems that the "Post" tab behaves differently than this.

Try what ExtremeEagle said to do, and I will too

I still use auctioneer for the batch posting feature in appraiser for my old world enchanting mats. I have been wasting time recently as some of the items are going for 200-300% what my appraiser says it is worth. Appraiser will post at my standard price rather than matching the current market conditions with a small under cut.

Is there a way for appraiser to post normally (I.e. A maximum of 10%) undercut if there are cheaper auction on the market, but when the other auctions are higher than my appraiser price to match these higher prices.

    Example
Greater nether essences - my appraise says they are with 5g. The current market has only a handful of essences all listed above 15g. When I batch post my nether essences are listed at 5g. This means I am potentially loosing 10g when they sell.

I am currently wasting time doing a quick manual search of the items I have noticed that have this behavior - but time is money friend!

Posting items individually is also time inefficient - I want to do a quick bulk scan - buy my DE items an quickly post the DE mats from my previous scan

Reviving an old useful thread for new users to benefit from.

This can be a very important tool if you are stuck in an undercutting war and want a bit of an edge.
