    Milling and Prospecting Macros

I think the use of milling and prospecting macros are fairly common, especially amongst those who mass mill/prospect and tend to do so while semi afk watching a movie or something.
Instead of needing to click/press keybind for milling/prospecting and then click on the stack of herbs/ore, you can simply press/click the macro keybind once and it mills or prospects once. So just keep spamming the macro while semi afk for best results.

There is quite a lot of herbs and ore that you can add to the macros which I recently made for myself, so thought I would share them for those who haven't put in the effort to add all the herbs / ore that exist.

    Milling 1: (Pre-BC herbs)
    Code:
    /cast Milling
    /use Earthroot
    /use Peacebloom
    /use Silverleaf
    /use Mageroyal
    /use Briarthorn
    /use Swiftthistle
    /use Bruiseweed
    /use Stranglekelp
    /use Wild Steelbloom
    /use Grave Moss
    /use Kingsblood
    /use Liferoot
    /use Dragon's Teeth
    /use Fadeleaf[/COLOR]
    Milling 2: (Pre-BC herbs)
    Code:
    /cast Milling
    /use Goldthorn
    /use Khadgar's Whisker
    /use Firebloom
    /use Purple Lotus
    /use Arthas' Tears
    /use Sungrass
    /use Blindweed
    /use Ghost Mushroom
    /use Gromsblood
    /use Golden Sansam
    /use Dreamfoil
    /use Mountain Silversage
    /use Sorrowmoss
    /use Icecap

    Milling 3: (TBC herbs)
    Code:
    /cast Milling
    /use Dreaming Glory
    /use Felweed
    /use Terocone
    /use Ragveil
    /use Ancient Lichen
    /use Mana Thistle
    /use Netherbloom
    /use Nightmare Vine

Milling 4: (WOTLK + Cataclysm herbs)
    Code:
    /cast Milling
    /use Deadnettle
    /use Goldclover
    /use Talandra's Rose
    /use Tiger Lily
    /use Fire Leaf
    /use Fire Seed
    /use Adder's Tongue
    /use Icethorn
    /use Lichbloom
    /use Cinderbloom
    /use Stormvine
    /use Azshara's Veil
    /use Heartblossom
    /use Twilight Jasmine

Prospecting 1: (Pre-BC, TBC, WOTLK and Cataclysm Ore)
    Code:
    /cast Prospecting
    /use Copper Ore
    /use Tin Ore
    /use Iron Ore
    /use Mithril Ore
    /use Thorium Ore
    /use Fel Iron Ore
    /use Adamantite Ore
    /use Cobalt Ore
    /use Saronite Ore
    /use Titanium Ore
    /use Obsidium Ore
    /use Elementium Ore
    /use Pyrite Ore

What I then do is, I put the macros on my second action bar:

(You should just be able to go SHIFT + Mouse Scroll Up / Down to switch the action bars, even on default Blizzard UI).

    Great post!

One snag people should be aware of, milling and prospecting requires EXACTLY five (5) of one material. So in the example below, if you only had four (4) Copper Ore, and it was in your bag before the Tin Ore, the macro would fail.

Even worse, if you had four (4) copper ore, then a stack of 20 copper ore (24 total, not a problem, right?) - WRONG. It would STILL FAIL because it tries to prospect the first and ONLY the first stack it finds.

To fix this requires a little extra work:
    1) ONLY deal in stacks if you can.
    2) If you have non-"stacks", put the extras in your bank and save them for later.
    3) Move the non"stacks" to the END of your bags, they won't get seen until all the other ore is done.

    /cast Prospecting
    /use Copper Ore
    /use Tin Ore
    /use Iron Ore
    /use Mithril Ore
    /use Thorium Ore
    /use Fel Iron Ore
    /use Adamantite Ore
    /use Cobalt Ore
    /use Saronite Ore
    /use Titanium Ore
    /use Obsidium Ore
    /use Elementium Ore
    /use Pyrite Ore

Why not just use Panda? It is super rock star for this.

Very true, can be incredibly irritating.

Fixed a typo in Milling Macro number 2 (Mountain Silversafe > Mountain Silversage).

Thanks for those, I have been looking for them for a while now, couldn't ever be arsed to do it myself

One thing I'd like to share as it saved me from going mad when prospecting/milling 100+ stacks of ore/herbs: I've found that binding the respective macro to your mouse wheel _really_ makes the whole process a lot more comfortable. This gets even more amazing when you're using a mouse where you can unlock the wheel so it keeps turning for 10-20 seconds (which is e.g. possible with several Logitech models) while still triggering mouse clicks - just saves soooo much work.

I have a logitech g700, and I can let that mousewheel rip. + rep for pure effin' genius.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this but I've keybound the Enchantrix's confirm click. A simple "/click AutoDEPromptYes" works for disenchant, milling, prospecting, even ignoring stacks of say 4 ores that you can't prospect.
