    Auctioneer to TSM Snatch List Converter

    So I recently installed TSM because of how many people have been talking about it of late and I really wanted to use the Dealfinder functionality of it, however redoing my entire Snatch list in TSM would have been a pain, so being a programmer I decided to write something that would do this for me.

    Firstly, it's not a WoW addon type thingy, I've never tried writing an addon and probably wont anytime soon, so I wrote a Java program to read in Auctioneers data and output it in TSM valid data.

    I'll put up a picture tutorial sometime this weekend, but for now:

    1) Fill in the full path to your Auc-Advanced.lua file (eg. C:\Games\Wow\WTF\Account\ACCOUNTNAME\SavedVariable s\Auc-Advanced.lua)

    2) Fill in the starting number of the newly generated items. In your C:\Games\Wow\WTF\Account\ACCOUNTNAME\SavedVariable s\TradeSkillMaster_Shopping.lua file there should be something like this:
    eg.
    Code:
    ["DealfinderList"] = {
    			{
    				["price"] = 200010000,
    				["name"] = "Ritssyn's Ruminous Drape",
    				["itemID"] = 67131,
    				["link"] = "|cffa335ee|Hitem:67131:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0|h[Ritssyn's Ruminous Drape]|h|r",
    			}, -- [1]
    			{
    				["price"] = 50000000,
    				["name"] = "Sulfuron Hammer",
    				["itemID"] = 17193,
    				["link"] = "|cffa335ee|Hitem:17193:0:0:0:0:0:0:2051925376:2:0|h[Sulfuron Hammer]|h|r",
    			}, -- [2]
    		},
    In order to add more items, my program needs to know what number to start using for new items, so take the last number in your Dealfinder list and add 1.
    So in this case you'd put 3 in the second field.

    3) Fill in the name of the Snatch list you've saved in Auctioneer (it's at the top of the 'Search' tab in Auctioneer).

    eg.

    4) Click convert.

    5) Copy the text that pops up in the bottom field and paste it in your TradeSkillMaster_Shopping.lua file after your last added item, eg:

    Code:
    ["DealfinderList"] = {
    			{
    				["price"] = 200010000,
    				["name"] = "Ritssyn's Ruminous Drape",
    				["itemID"] = 67131,
    				["link"] = "|cffa335ee|Hitem:67131:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0|h[Ritssyn's Ruminous Drape]|h|r",
    			}, -- [1]
    			{
    				["price"] = 50000000,
    				["name"] = "Sulfuron Hammer",
    				["itemID"] = 17193,
    				["link"] = "|cffa335ee|Hitem:17193:0:0:0:0:0:0:2051925376:2:0|h[Sulfuron Hammer]|h|r",
    			}, -- [2]
                            <--------- Paste Here
    		},
    6) Save and close the file, start up WoW and pray it worked

    Notes:
    - Make backups of the two files just in case.
    - You need Java 1.5 or higher to run it (I'm using 1.6 u22).
    - I've only tested this on my copy of WoW, so welcome all to the "Open Beta"
    - I would advise making at least one entry into TSM Dealfinder so that the proper structure of the file is created.
    - I do plan on making this more user friendly. eg. It'll open the right files automagically, writing to the TSM file, etc.
    - Please post any bugs or suggestions here
    - Thanks all for this great website

    EDIT: Link to new file with necessary libraries. Too big to upload to the forums directly.

    Ran it on my gf's PC which just has a default Java install, so should be good

    EDIT2: Added some pics.

    this looks promising i'll give it a go. I'm looking forward to the auto file loading. Use regex to get to a specific point in the file and then it's just a matter of parsing and converting

    edit: sent you a PM with a stacktrace it didn't work here.

    how do you generate the [link] part of the text? I was thinking about writing a web scraper that could generate this list from a text file of item names, but I dont know how to generate that [link]

    Firstly, major apologies to you Guberry, for some reason I wasn't subscribed to this thread and haven't updated the program so haven't manually checked back here recently.
    Secondly, work's been crazy lately so the progress on this has been non-existent, more apologies.

    And lastly, the [link] part is the in game link code, generally used like this from Wowhead:
    Code:
     /script DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage("\124cffa335ee\124Hitem:67131:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0\124h[Ritssyn's Ruminous Drape]\124h\124r");
    In terms of generating it I think you'd have to do some sort of lookup on Wowhead or somewhere else I am unaware of. Wowhead uses a Javascript method to obtain the link
    Code:
    g_getIngameLink('ffa335ee', 'item:67131:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0', 'Ritssyn\'s Ruminous Drape')
    I have no idea where it gets the ffa335ee from so I wouldn't have a clue where to start on that.
    My best guess would be to use Wowhead to look up items via the Item ID, and use the Javascript method parameters to generate the [link] part.

    hey supes,

    I recently lost my complete snipe list from Auction-Master. Now I would like to make a change from AuctionMaster to TSM although I really miss the bid option in the dealfinder mod...

    However, Im looking for a lua file with a lot of items so I don't have to start from scratch. Is there a chance you could upload your dealfinder list so that I can replace it with mine or did somebody something like this already (like a master list)? thx in advance
