    "Sold out" AddOn

    Hello,

when I stand at my mail box and start to open letters and take in the money I sometimes forget regognzing that I sold my last of a certain item.

Is there an addon that allows to post lists of item you want to sell and tells you if you run out of stock?

Good question, and one that I've had, myself. A few answers that I have (interested to see if there's a better way):

    #1 - Auction Profit Master
APM has a summary button on the AH interface that allows you to scan the AH for all of a particular type of item (glyphs, enchants, gems, flasks, etc). It will highlight which items you have listed, along with how many of each item.

    #2 - Altoholic
I use altoholic constantly to tell me where things are. I sell a lot of gear, and I do most of my crafting on the weekends. I can't keep it all in my bags without them overflowing, so I stick the leftovers after posting in my bank. Every so often, after posting, I'll run to the bank and just hover over the stuff in there to make sure I've got it all posted on the AH (shows up in the tooltips).

    #3 - Altoholic & MySales
I'll also use altoholic to search for items that recently sold using the data I have from MySales (not a fan of beancounter). If an item sold in high enough quantity, I can run a search and see how many I have left, and exactly where they are.
Retired - I blame Kathroman for everything.

    (that's a joke, eh)

If you're dealing in the various commodities (gems, foods, glyphs, enchants) I would definitely say APM is going to be the ticket. So I am in agreement there. If you are selling big ticket items (Current content armors, DMF trinkets/decks, crafted mounts) I would keep track of those by hand.

Zero -- you are recommending APM which roughly duplicaties the functionality of your own ZeroAuctions. Did you do yours mostly as a bandaid and don't plan to keep it up? I find that ZeroAuctions fixed a number of bugs I was experiencing with QA2/QA3 (cancel didn't work for me at all for instance), and I didn't find out about APM until I already had ZA installed and configured.

You could also try Inventorium Addon which is also made by the same author as ZeroAuctions. It can keep track of all your stock, you can tell it how many of each item you want to ideally have and it will then tell you how many you still need to reach that ideal number.

Are Zerohour and Zerotorescue (the author of ZA) one and the same?

Anyway, I'm gonna go along with Sinshroud on this one - Inventorium has become essential to my businesses. In addition to his outline - you are also able to set up thresholds so that it will not craft stuff that is selling below your cost, amongst other things. It is set up in a similar way to ZA/APM as far as setting up groups goes. I'd like to see ability to import groups from one to another - but maybe I've just missed that function.

I am not and have never been the author of Zeroauctions. That mod was written by someone else, and my handle has been with me for almost 10 years now, and to this day I know tee-tee about computer coding. Although I could write some mean C code 20 years ago.

I can see the misassumption here, but we're not related, I promise.
