@Meyer posted a sheet of predicted ideal ink ratios for glyphs in MoP that is a great guide for sensibly trading down ink to prepare for the new expansion.[/QUOTE]
Hmm No I did not..
I posted a distribution table, which shows the number of glyphs made from pre-Mop ink in MoP. If you want to have a 1:1 ration of glyphs / inks in MoP you can use that, but imo. thats not even close to an ideal trading distribution.
What the ideal distribution is. Is really hard to say as this depends of a lot of things:
1. What’s your current inventory status?
2. What is going to be the big sellers in MoP? We might have less cookiecutter builds + glyphs, but we will always have some glyphs selling more then others.
3. How will the Herb / Ink supply be after Mop-Launch?
4. Do you want extra Inks for Monk-class?
5. Other factors??
I have been estimations a bit to get a distribution, which will fit me better then the even one, and in that calculation I use a weight major glyphs 3 times as much as minor, and the new monk glyph 15 times.
Is that the right distribution to use? I can’t say to be honest, but I think a x1, x3, x15 is better then a x1, x1, x1 distribution (which the first post was, as this only shows the crafting materials without considering anything else)
I can show you the raw number from that you can make your own.. As you can see I get a lot more BC and WOTLK inks then the 1:1 – and on to op that I scale it up even more. (which is due to a combination of my current Inventory of premade glyphs and my expectations on how hard these Inks we be to get if I run out of any kind of ink at MoP launch +1-2 months)
