@Meyer posted a sheet of predicted ideal ink ratios for glyphs in MoP that is a great guide for sensibly trading down ink to prepare for the new expansion.[/QUOTE]

    Hmm No I did not..

I posted a distribution table, which shows the number of glyphs made from pre-Mop ink in MoP. If you want to have a 1:1 ration of glyphs / inks in MoP you can use that, but imo. thats not even close to an ideal trading distribution.

What the ideal distribution is. Is really hard to say as this depends of a lot of things:

    1. What’s your current inventory status?
    2. What is going to be the big sellers in MoP? We might have less cookiecutter builds + glyphs, but we will always have some glyphs selling more then others.
    3. How will the Herb / Ink supply be after Mop-Launch?
    4. Do you want extra Inks for Monk-class?
    5. Other factors??

I have been estimations a bit to get a distribution, which will fit me better then the even one, and in that calculation I use a weight major glyphs 3 times as much as minor, and the new monk glyph 15 times.

Is that the right distribution to use? I can’t say to be honest, but I think a x1, x3, x15 is better then a x1, x1, x1 distribution (which the first post was, as this only shows the crafting materials without considering anything else)

I can show you the raw number from that you can make your own.. As you can see I get a lot more BC and WOTLK inks then the 1:1 – and on to op that I scale it up even more. (which is due to a combination of my current Inventory of premade glyphs and my expectations on how hard these Inks we be to get if I run out of any kind of ink at MoP launch +1-2 months)

I can only add the following, upon which I've based my own ink stock distribution:

Warning: this is as accurate as MoP version of Wowhead is in its current state.

    192 discovery glyphs: http://mop.wowhead.com/spells=11.773...=9;crs=9;crv=0
95 x Ink of the Sea
    36 x Ethereal Ink
    5 x Celestial Ink
    12 x Jadefire Ink
    19 x Lion's Ink
    25 x Midnight Ink

    3 vendor glyphs: http://mop.wowhead.com/spells=11.773...=9;crs=7;crv=0
    1 x Shimmering Ink
1 x Ink of the Sea
    1 x Blackfallow Ink

    123 trainer glyphs: http://mop.wowhead.com/spells=11.773...=9;crs=8;crv=0
7 x Ink of the Sea
    27 x Ethereal Ink
    11 x Shimmering Ink
    16 x Celestial Ink
    17 x Jadefire Ink
    26 x Lion's Ink
    19 x Midnight Ink

    67 undefined glyphs: http://mop.wowhead.com/spells=11.773...=9;crs=2;crv=0
    2 x Lion's Ink
    4 x Jadefire Ink
    2 x Celestial Ink
    2 x Shimmering Ink
    3 x Ethereal Ink
21 x Ink of the Sea
    33 x Ink of Dreams

    Combined:
124 x Ink of the Sea
    66 x Ethereal Ink
    23 x Celestial Ink
    33 x Jadefire Ink
    47 x Lion's Ink
    44 x Midnight Ink
    14 x Shimmering Ink

    Combined w/o trainer glyphs:
    117 Ink of the Sea
    39 x Ethereal Ink
    57 x Celestial Ink
    16 x Jadefire Ink
    21 x Lion's Ink
    25 x Midnight Ink
    3 x Shimmering Ink
    1 x Blackfallow Ink

(Blackfallow is left out because it messed up the text )

Apologies, Meyer... although I'm tempted to continute to poorly phrase my posts when highlighting other people's good work. Look how much extra information I dragged out of you! (Thanks).

Having a look at your new sheet, I feel (feeling not deduction) like maybe midnight ink and lion's ink might be a little too low for me, but that's just me.

I think we can all agree that no two people are going to agree on exact ratios for stockpiling. Everyone continues to use the disclaimer 'this is accurate according to the current beta'. @David 's post has slightly diferent ratios to yours - either your weighted values, manually adjusted or even distribution.

Hopefully by stockpiling more than enough ink and/or glyphs we'll all be selling glyphs based on our currently developing stockpiles for a good way into MoP. I'm going to attempt to use @Kathroman 's advice:

Edit: @Mithrildar - apologies for the derail, completely my fault. I didn't mean to spark a discussion about glyph / ink stockpile ratios that is discussed elsewhere. My point was that it is much easier to keep a track of inventory ratios when stuff isn't stored in the mailbox, so you can view it with a great tool like Goblinventory. We'll keep the discussion to other thread, I promise.

this addon definitely doesn't work for me, each time I've done it it shows only two items. I'm sure there is some step I'm missing?

the code it gave me was "7449TC44446TD" and when I pasted that in I just got an inscription bag and I think a rock. Not my 200 transmog items. Help!

If "7449TC44446TD" is all you are getting, then something is definately wrong. Your code that you paste over to goblinventory.com is REALLLLLLLY long.
When you type /goblinventory, the little pop up already selects ALL the text, so the only thing you have to do is ctrl+c / command+c.
If you are using your mouse to select the text you see in the pop up THEN copy it, then you are only capturing the last tidbit instead of the entire code.
This *may* be what you are doing without noticing it's the wrong way of doing it, because "7449TC44446TD" seems like what you would physically see in the pop up, but may just be the last bit of the 1000s of characters of that code you get.

Now, if indeed "7449TC44446TD" is the ONLY bit of code you are getting, then, yes something is definitely wrong.

I'm having an issue with Goblinventory where sometimes the add-on leaves an item in my guild bank after I've cleaned out a tab. It seems it's always the last item I remove from the tab just before running the add-on. It's easy enough to fix on the pre-publish page, but perhaps it could be fixed in the code too?

I'm assuming there must have been changes to inventory with the 5.0.4 patch. I'm seeing similar results to the above. I just discovered this add-on yesterday, so I hope it gets updated!

The code to paste in is quite long (as expected), around 5,900 characters, but when I paste it in, it only shows 1 item of the 8 tabs in the guild vault. Other places, there are just items missing. I also noticed that it doesn't have stack counts, so things like a stack of cloth only shows as a single piece both in the visual section and the listing below.

I tried on a second install that has no other add-ons installed to eliminate possible issues from another add-on and had the same results.

I too am seeing an issue with this addon now. When I paste my code to the site, it only shows my bags and my bank, but not my guild banks.

Maybe @Erorus can poke around with it, even though he told me development for this addon has stopped =)
